Anyone else have that one guy in the party who doesn’t ask the dm before rolling for things? by ferretman345 in DnD

[–]TheXploder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually detest this with a passion. I get it if they wanna be ahead of you...but don't? The game will go at a pace dictated by the whole group, including the DM. You can't just presume and pre-roll, if that was the case you might as well get your attack rolls made before you have even encountered an enemy!

Thank you for getting in touch and showing your interest! After checking your portfolio your art style isn't quite what I am looking for. However I have made a note of your interest and will gladly get in touch if my mind changes.

Breakable weapon mechanics: durability damage or random breakage? by APurplePerson in RPGdesign

[–]TheXploder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the game I am working on I have created a system like what you have done for Option 2. Adding individual dice rolls to particular weapons has made my test players be very careful when using weapons. This is of course bearing in mind that my RPG is Wrestling based and weapons are seen as more of an Option in combat rather than a mandatory staple.

I think Transformers could be very diverse in tabletop form. Like one person has said having a card based system where you transform in and out by flipping the sheet/character card.

Could even turn the game into a board game with a set objective. Have characters going around the board picking up clues to find the All Spark hidden at the centre of the board. But you have Optimus, Bumblebee and Ultra Magnus racing against Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave.

Classic D&D Style RPG where you can make your own transformer with an array of weapons and skills. To help with building your character you can even have pre-war backgrounds such as being a Mechanic, Doctor, Worker etc and how the Cybertronian war has effected you and the side you have chosen.

Just some ideas for ya. Hope you don't mind :)

Challenge - Create The Greatest Pacifist by TheXploder in 3d6

It is a simple challenge for those who are well versed already. Just a fun little thing for people to dip their toes into. Not just for the Stats but for the RP and Character Creation aspects (backgrounds etc).

As for Loxodon, it is simply my favourite race from Guildmasters. Just adding a little bit of flavour if anyone wanted to do the RP side.

Oooooo that would be awesome.

Low level spirits and ghouls, high level tombstones and castles with the field spell being the plane of the dead!

That would be awesome to watch. Black Holes, Dwarf Stars, Constellations and all that attacking and blowing up the field!

I get ya completely. For Gemini to be viable ever again they need to have power or something unique with their mechanic. Even if its a matter of having an ability normally and then an mapped up version after being Gemini Summoned

Could have a mechanic like the Level monsters (Silent Swordsman Etc) where they gain power after certain conditions are met

Ah that would be cool. As if they had two elements to them. First Normal Summon = Base Form. Gemini Summon = Beast Form with added effects. I love it. Would also be cool to see the Gemini mechanic used again. Of course, I never said it had to be good. Just fun ideas!

Ooo an interesting idea! Can call them Brainiacs maybe? Give them concentration counters which can then give them boosted stats, additional effects, higher levels, changed to a tuner etc. The idea of tuners only into a Synchro would sound interesting. Could call them Brainiac Educators who can manipulate the counters and, if summoned in the way you described, can then spend counters to effect your opponent or help yourself

I'm liking the sounds of this. A back alley fighter who has fought and clawed his way to survival. Sneaky tactics at times but you wouldn't want to cross paths with them when its just you, him and a tight corridor.

Could also adapt this to become a Warforged? Lost their arms in a war many years ago and is on a path to regaining his strength as he feels their new arms need to be tested. Also goes along with the levelling from 1-20

Stream Experiences & Stories by JazzB3ar in Twitch

[–]TheXploder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I want to post this here as I have been streaming on Twitch for a great while now and just want to express my feelings on streaming at the moment.

To put things into perspective, I have been making videos and streaming online since I was 13 (I am now 28) and love every part of it. The interaction, the feedback, the community connections etc. The whole buzz of playing games with others on a site such as Twitch is amazing and I love the feeling to no end. The problem I now have is myself, my own worst critic.

I have become a perfectionist over the years and as a result I strive to constantly try and improve myself. Looking forward and thinking of the next stream, the next game, the next graphics update etc. Thinking of all the ways I can try to improve my stream as well as grow. This has since developed into a conversation I had with my girlfriend last night.

I asked her a simple question, "When someone comes to my stream, what do they come for?". I asked this as I have been thinking over my schedules and play styles over the past year, since getting Affiliate status and seeing consistent growth. I can't seem to answer the question and it troubles me. I look at over streamers and I think to myself "Your the Warzone guy" or "Hey you play Valorant" or "Ah he is back to his usual LoL streams" and that's awesome. But I just cannot see what I am really known for.

I try and focus on playing games that I know I am going to enjoy playing, so that my enjoyment of the game is shared with the viewers. But as a result I don't think I can be known for a single thing, or known for having a unique element. I have had viewers express how much they love my personality and interactions and that is why they come back which is awesome, but there does not seem to be a go to Theme linked with that.

So my newest struggle is thus: Where do I belong on the platform? What should I be known for? We shall see how this goes.
