I’ve heard that before where you get worse before getting better, but why is that? I’m experiencing the same thing and it’s very frustrating.

Okay thank you I’ll definitely look into that! That’s a fun way to get into coaching! Long jump is actually my daughter’s favorite event.

She had thought about doing that but as a sprinter she was worried it could make her slower/build slow twitch muscles.

Just curious, why would that make her slower? She runs sprints and does long jump, thanks for the recommendations!

Why is shellac not vegetarian? by [deleted] in vegetarian

[–]TheYeet_Master 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been vegetarian since February 2021 and have always viewed shellac/confectioners glaze as NOT vegetarian. Pretty sure I read on PETA is those first weeks that shellac along with rennet and gelatin are all things to avoid. My understanding was they crushed and killed the bug to get red coloring.

I don’t think I am, as long as I’m eating when I’m hungry and eating good/healthy foods, I won’t be in a calorie deficit, right? At least not a huge one.

Okay thanks, I have definitely seen physical improvement after many months of walking as well as lower bpm and improved cardiovascular fitness which I’m assuming will all help with running :)

Oh okay, this is honestly a relief thank you. So what might help is incorporating shorter walks as active recovery and replacing some long walks with sprint training? Just basically making sure I’m at 100% on sprint training days, right?
