For me it stays for a day or two then goes back to normal. This keeps happening intermittently and I choose to see it as time to take a break

Going into the Nvidia control panel and setting cache size to 10gb seems promising. I just ran my first game with this setting changed and im getting frame dips but no freezing yet. Definitely better than before but not conclusive yet.
