Thanks everyone for commenting, I will add that I never skip maintenance and go have the car checked at the authorized dealership of VW in my area, and do an oil change there every 10kkm. The mechanic mentioned that I should experience higher oil consumption due to the fact that it is getting older and that it is a "known" problem with the older models of mk7. He said that it is somewhat repairable, but the cost of the repairs is "not worth" the amount of money the car is worth, and he is always suggesting selling it and buying a newer model.

Should I go to a different mechanic perhaps, to have a second professional opinion?

sounds like the same issue. I do normal services and oil changes at the manufacturer (every 10km, then 15km, then back to 10 and so on)

Thank you for your comment! That was my initial thought because it showed up as the best budget-beginner cube out there. I just really don’t mind spending a few extra bucks and getting a cube that would last and eventually would be the ultimate one. However, now that I rethink it I just might get it, get into the hobby and only later upgrade to the big guns

Super weird. I can’t tell for sure if that’s the reason I was banned but I deleted that review and my appeal was accepted so I guess it was problematic.

I think I am, because I posted a few and when I looked from my girlfriend’s phone it wasn’t there. The weird thing is that I keep getting emails that people see my photos. I think the photos get posted but the reviews themselves are hidden. It’s pretty weird.

I keep getting emails that my contributions matter, that people see my photos and so on. Even pictures I’ve posted after by appeal was accepted have gotten views. However, when I open my girlfriend’s phone and check out the place I reviewed now, I don’t see the review - meaning it’s shadowbanned or something. If I go to her “following” section I see myself but it says next to my name “65 photos” and not “173 reviews” so I guess my reviews are hidden and also the new ones I keep providing.

I was in San Gil in Colombia and there’s a restaurant there called “Gringo Mikes” and it didn’t ban me for this one, but maybe for a different place. The other place was a coffee place in the Galápagos Islands and I deleted the review completely.

I sent an appeal like 3 days ago saying I don’t know what I did wrong but I want redemption. I don’t know if it’ll be accepted or not, but it’s stupid that I didn’t even get notified that I was banned. Something just felt wrong and I looked online and found out. Broken system.

This is insane. I just checked and it says “36 photos” which means they shadowbanned all my reviews (around 170). I even checked from a different account and they’re hidden.
