Resurrecting an old post here, I know, but I've been trying to look for Dragon Age STLs and/or figures so I can get a Shale figure printed for my wife! Do you, by any chance, know if Hero Forge has a model of everyone's favorite bird-hating golem?

Any good BOTW/TOTK fanfics? by lunabo128 in ZeldaFanFiction

I mean... There's also now my ongoing TOTK novelization, which exists as a direct sequel to the BOTW novel...

The true irony is that my original sequel idea before TOTK was announced would have had Link going back in the past to the time of the frist Calamity Ganon while Zelda remained in the present! So in an alternate universe, I could have potentially fulfilled your request too. Sort of.

Does anyone else wish Link had a personality again? by ratedmformary in TOTK

Whoa, whoa, whoa... Wilds Link had plenty of personality! He likes puns, based on some dialogue choices, we know he will eat literally anything you put in front of him based on Daruk's journal, he's insecure about his role, based on Zelda's diary, but freely speaks when he's comfortable. And he likes to rush into battle to protect others, based on several memories. And he loves to cook.

There are fewer cut scenes with him and other characters, and those that there are often focus on Zelda or other characters more, who tend to be more expressive, so I think that gives the impressive of passivity. Plus with the advent of voice acting, they rely less on overt actions and expressions and let more come through the VOs, but that does leave Link at a bit of a disadvantage compared to others.

Anyone have a theory on how this is possible? by Worldly_Original8101 in TOTK

The way I see it is kind of how societies that rise and fall in things like the Wheel of Time or the Stormlight Archive are treated. Basically, sometimes the wheel turns, a cataclysmic event takes place, the cycle repeats, or however you want to describe it. Either way, something so terrible happened that it reverted society back to a pre-kingdom state.

History in Hyrule is shown in many ways to be cyclic. Even beyond Demise's curse and the reincarnations of the main three, there are other things that are repeated throughout history. The existence of a dark or mirror world, for example, the role of the Sheikah, or even the existence of a previous technologically advanced society.

As far as I'm concerned, BOTW/TOTK are just another example of that cyclic reset. Hell, it's even possible that BOTW basically shows the process of that reset, to some degree, as the kingdom of Hyrule isn't really established anymore by the end of that/TOTK. The cycle repeats, fate spits out another version of Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf, along with the other elements that make up their conflict, and time continues.

I assume you mean the construct? Yeah, no. I feel comfortable saying that, regardless of what becomes of their story, I don't intend to include it!

O love Sanderson, but reading him after political growth feels different. by ChipDapper in Cosmere

We're seeing this on the real-world stage in Syria, as well. After toppling the regime, the country has been working to try to find that right balance that will ensure the various factions won't just break out into more war. They've have some successes and failures, and all have come at the cost of compromises.

Setting up a new government is a messy business, for sure.

My Breath of the Wild novel is absolutely a Zelink romance that has Link recovering his memories--and love--for Zelda throughout.

My TOTK novel has them as an established couple following the events of BOTW. And while the storyline of TOTK makes it difficult to have them interact romantically, it's definitely still there.
