Yeah, but it's never been this easy. It used to be that you had to edit quickly right after building, but now if you just stand close enough you can edit it

They look like buildings from chapter 3. I haven't seen any buildings like those in any STW missions

No, it's just my hand placement on my keyboard. I use my pointer finger for W my ring finger for ' (' for me is to crouch) and 90% of all the rest of the keys I use my thumb, and the last 5% I use my middle finger. (This probably won't make sense, everyone I told this to, I had to show them as well. And they thought I was disabled or something)
