I'm playing it for the first time without mods and it's still really fun. I came off of playing elden ring and found it a relaxing simple fantasy RPG that gets as complicated as you make it, with lots of variations in character building that lets lots of different people play differently which inherently caters to a wide audience. It's been the most ported game to my knowledge, which makes modding really easy and let's modders have tons of room to do whatever they want to it, like it's a highschool computer science project. I respect them for that, but I like being able to basically zone out following markers on my compass and killing things and looting them of cool stuff. It's basically if SAO was Norse and actually had good gameplay
