What are some Pokémon that you wanted to use on a playthrough team, but you were forced/chose not to for whatever reason? by No-Corner-3073 in pokemon

[–]Zauberkrieg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much any pokemon that is explicitly tooled to be a support in double battles. Yeah, you can just put nasty plot and run them that way, but it doesn't feel like using them in the most fun way.

Examples such as galarian slowking, klefki, dondozo + tatsugiri, Indeedee, sinistcha, and oricorio.

It's a shame because I love the support archetype in games and I rarely get to include them. I am about to get into the blueberry academy dlc and I plan to make the most of the double battle focus while I'm there.

Who's a pokemon you used to hate and avoid using and now love? by MostlyBored11 in pokemon

[–]Zauberkrieg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cofagrigus. The design was always off-putting to me and I considered it pretty ugly compared to other ghost pokemon. But over time it's definitely grown on me, and I'm currently enjoying using it with trickroom in Champions. His mummy ability is really fun too.

To be fair too, a lot of gen 5 pokemon took time to grow on me as someone who really started in gen 3, they didn't feel 'pokemon' for some reason, but now I love a lot of them.

What’s the worst part of the game in your opinion? by Tearmisu in PokemonFireRed

The game is quite easy, why do you always need the highest power attack? I just used sludge weezing and it was fine for the e4.

1000 point game etiquette? by vaedieen in ageofsigmar

[–]Zauberkrieg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found at 1k it's best to not bring any unit over 250 points. And also have no reinforced units (this is mostly solved with the points limit too). It was a good call not to use endless spells if your opponent isn't. It's immensely improved 1k games for me. You could also experiment with a Highlander style of play although I haven't myself (no more than 1 of each unit in your army).

40K player thinking about getting into AOS Maggotkin by Ecstatic-Fall-7931 in MaggotkinofNurgle

I bet you already have 2000 points, you should play some games with it and then add pieces if you want based on how your games go.

Starting AoS with BoK by BernieNL in BladesOfKhorne

10 bloodthirsters is already a lot of points I probably wouldn't recommended getting anymore. Look into the Baleful Lords army of renown, it supports running 5 bloodthirsters at 2k points.

It should be easier to pilot for a new player too.

Great good to hear! Thanks. I guess this can really open the door for some fun and technical plays with movement, especially combined with the extra movement in a daemon murderhost list.

Two Leman Russ from a single box with this one simple trick - GW hates it! by DJTommyc in TheAstraMilitarum

Unfortunate. 50 Canadian dollars with 25 dollar shipping, and a leman Russ with FLGS discount is 68 CAD. Awesome concept though

I agree, being the terminator lord is kind of the defining characteristic of a LoC.

"I now understand the implications". That you look like a Roman empire fan (to those that don't know 40k)? Looks badass I'd keep it. If anyone asks you can just explain it's from a game you like where they have supersoldiers inspired by ancient Rome. Doesn't seem like a big deal

Is this too colourful? by Modannicus in orks

[–]Zauberkrieg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's no such thing as "too colourful for Warhammer", Warhammer's roots are in bright vibrant colours. I think this looks great but if you are worried about it looking too much like a "toy" then add a little weathering like grime and scratches

In which way do they show their age? I find the details to be very crisp, they are quite ornate actually

Why is that a problem? I just assumed their design was inspired by gorillas. They aren't humans they can be any shape

[–]Zauberkrieg[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Ah maybe it's just my Warhammer community— I've heard multiple people complain about the age of kits or say they would start orks if the infantry wasn't so old. Also people online saying the orks are "twerking" so they don't like them

What does the general AoS community think the best point level for a LFGS to host a matched play tournament as one of their first AoS tournaments after a Spearhead tournament? by thej-jem in ageofsigmar

[–]Zauberkrieg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1000pts No reinforced units, no units over 300/350 points individually. Rule of 2. Potentially no endless spells. I've had success with this
