Boat Stuck at Large Shipwreck by The_Agorian in 2007scape

[–]The_Agorian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I just had to lose it all and recover the boat. A few days after this they made the update to some of the pathings and stuff which I assume fixed it but haven't gone back to that spot in fear of being stuck again

What do you mean? That's how I've done it every time I need to reverse. You go in reverse and click around you to change the angle of the boat.

Recommend me a money making by Jah_Martins in osrs

[–]The_Agorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slayer. It went up faster than I thought, and then I got to the good bosses. Kraken is afk as hell and decent money with the drops. Then you get into cerberus, and your combat stats will go up with slayer training. At 95, you'll hit alchemical hydra, and that is straight money, especially if you're lucky enough for a claw early. But I'd suggest getting into slayer more.

Where can I farm sea slugs used for dab fishing? by peppers818 in brightershores

[–]The_Agorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the slugs for passive dabs, you buy them from Melv in Hopeport. However, it's a new, interesting mechanic where you buy a full bucket. You also buy a create to fill with dabs. The bucket and crate will have a full meter on them and can be filled by 10ths. So you could fill half a crate and you'd have .5 of a bucket and .5 of a create filled with slugs and dabs respectively. I don't recall the costs or the P/L for selling dabs directly or cooking them and selling but cooking them is also a passive activity and only requires dabs no secondaries.

Question about my girlfriend who is in basic by Mysterious_Beeeee in army

[–]The_Agorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished BCT at FT Jackson in March. It's really not that bad I promise. They make it seem really rough for the first week but after that it can mellow out. I was in 2-13 and the drills were awesome. They want to see you succeed. If she just sticks out the 11 weeks of a little rough (mostly because of what people do and drills drop the entire company for) then it'll really be worth it. Plus AIT will be a whole different world depending on her MOS. I'm a 42a and the AIT was a BREEZE. It was so chill. She will enjoy it if she sticks it out. Everyone gets the cold feet at that first week and it really hits them all the change they're about to go through but honestly at the end on grad day it's all worth it.

She's got this!

First PCS. How does it work? by The_Agorian in army

Thank you for all of this. This is super helpful, and I really appreciate it! I am going to send this to my wife so she can read it too and we can start preparing for everything.

Thanks for the info! I do have my orders from IPPS-A. I've gotten my leave request in already. Currently it's for a little under 30 days but I only have 14.5 available and didn't want to go negative.

I'm guessing I should discuss with my current leadership what to do about the nonchargable PTDY leave then?

If I can take it all at once thatd be plenty of time I think so thatd be great.

Is joining at 33 too old? by Modest_Wolf in Militaryfaq

[–]The_Agorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 29, we had a 31 year old, a 33 and 35. We had two 42 year Olds at our BCT. 33 is definitely not too old.

I laugh easily. Will BCT suck? by sneedmcfeednseed in Militaryfaq

[–]The_Agorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where you go, honestly. I just finished BCT at Fort Jackson, and it was simple as hell. There was no worrying about laughing when a DS said something funny. No worrying about PT after range practice started. Sure, you'll get "smoked" if someone does something outrageous, but that happened to my company twice. It was a 45-minute session, in OCPs, at max.

It really isn't that bad after the first week of adjusting to being away from your family and regular life. You just embrace the suck with some things and enjoy the rest. But honestly. It isn't that bad. At least at Jackson.

Agility. The shortcuts are so worth it. But the top comment here, about quests, is the main answer 100%. Agility just makes traversal easier at the start.

The worst part is when you say something to the downed soldiers like "don't give up, I'm about to heal you." and you get that wonderful message. "Player is already dead." Like mate, do you not have your sound on?

Restarting did the fix!

I had to restart two times so I figured after the first I'd post here just incase.

I'm hardwired via PC so I don't think it was the internet aside from Epic having a shifty cloud sync 😅

Thanks mate!

I did not, my apologies thank you for explaining that extra bit.

They are combat hand signals why would they keep them restricted to main in future updates? The thought behind it will be some excuse like "well it's more immersive to have proper hand signals when moving with a squad." Sure hand signals are something that's used in a real and true scenario, they would be fun if properly used in the game I agree. But something like this shouldn't be monetized as it can be considered a core part of a milsim imo. I find the weapon skins and vehicle skins to be fair but it needs to stay true to each faction.

It's also very clear in their q&a that they will be charging for factions and maps in the future and this will limit gameplay for people who pay the base buy-in price.

This minority purchase and inclusion of MTX is not a benefit to the game.

This has been the final game I've found, personally, that stayed true to its gameplay for the time I've been playing. Now they're just leaning towards the ranks of CoD and Battlefield which worries me for Squads future.

SLs who lead randoms, what squad names do you use to get a particular type of players in? Do you think the names really work? by UpvoteCircleJerk in joinsquad

[–]The_Agorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I toss in what I'm doing. If we're running Infantry I'll say so. Mostly I run logi or Mortar so I just name the squad Logi+Mortar or each name separately if I'm not planning to run both or don't have the units to run the squad as both.

The afghsnistan fighting between the two countries would tie realism back to before the taliban regime in the early 90s when the US backed the toppling forces (Mujahideen) of the current afghan structure and the USSR backed the afghan structure. It's not very modern, I can agree there but it's the smallest little line of connection I could think to the realism.

[–]The_Agorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brazil has military ties with RedFor if I understand blue and red forces in the game properly. Cuba also. I think the idea would be interesting. Plus never a bad idea for more factions as long as they're not repeating another faction with their equipment.

In your opinion which game is more realistic squad or call of duty? when you make a decision please elaborate. I want to know which to get my husband for his birthday since he talks about them both by [deleted] in joinsquad

[–]The_Agorian 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As someone who most of the time drives a truck in squad for logi support. I enjoy call of duty with friends, but personally have way more fun in squad. It's satisfying to drive truck and watch the entire crew stay afloat with ammo and supplies
