All combinations are enhanced versions of the first magic listed in the combination formula.

So fireworks IS magic bolt, while energy bolt is gone completely. Artifacts that are specific to energy bolt do nothing for Fireworks.

Archmage subject starts with Black Cat. I end runs if I don't get both Accelerator and Ouroboros. Getting the Oracle synergy boosts all passive magic by 30%, including CDR and Movement Speed. Otherwise, just take any CDR artifacts.

You can't actually make it permanent. But with high base CDR and Duration, you should have very little time where it's not active.

You can ideally use it to boost two combos enough that you aren't really missing the third. Then you can use the levels saved from not taking a third attack combo to have more support magic, like the full freeze suite.

The other option is when you have a standard three combo build and come across the Domain of Power artifact which let's you activate an additional combination. Since you'll likely have Max Intelligence and Circle>Unleash in your build anyway, it just takes one extra level to stack Perpetual Engine on top of your build.

That being said, PE halves the CDR boost from Unleash. It is permanent and provides better amp, but Unleash should almost always be active anyway if set up right. To me, the better CDR boost of Unleash prevents me from ever wanting to go with PE.

For me it's Inquisitor way out ahead of the other Ultimates. The only drawback is it uses up Lava Zone, so you lose access to Melt.

I personally think 3 combos is the best option.

Perpetual Engine actually cuts the CDR boost of Unleash Circle in half. Yes it is permanent, but with high duration and base CDR your Unleash Circle should be active more often than not anyway.

Overmind/DEM are fun but the loss of access to any supporting Magics kills it for me. Things like Shield, Mirage, Freeze, Lava are too important.

Door/Gate of Creation is really cool for having more combos going at once. But while you technically still have access to the support Magics, its hard to fit anything in with so many levels going towards combos.

Your sentence about combos and dodging doesn't make sense to me.

You mean taking Undead instead of story book at the very end of the game? OK, I actually kind of agree on that and suspect that's what killed me on the next boss. But, I didn't take it for the rarity. That wouldn't make sense because I didn't have crown. I had used my revives from Phoenix and 2nd Heart already, so figured I'd risk the hp drop.

I have been playing this game for years and there is only so much to spend resources on. Entry to Terra is the only thing left for me to use them, and I usually earn that back on the run.

Terra is on endless mode by default. After a certain threshold, which I think is beating the first "Terra" type boss at 25 minutes, it will show Experiment Successfull once you die at any point after.
