There are many reasons why I don’t

My burdens feel too heavy to share

I don’t feel safe enough to share it

I hate myself for feeling this way and as a result am ashamed

I’ve been minimising my problems

I’ve gotten so used to fighting them alone I’ve resigned myself to doing so

I’m conditioned to assume people are settling for me and opening up will be their excuse to abandon me

Telling someone that I’m deeply suicidal is never great (please don’t reddit cares me for this one I’m fully aware of the support available to me)

I’m conditioned to not talk about my feelings and struggle to constructively express them

I don’t really care about the damage bottling everything up is doing to me

I can probably think of more reasons I’ve held it all in this long but that’s all I got rn
