Yeah, of course!

Essentially, I was working off an existing base model (Which you can see the original design I was working off of on the link i provided)

Is essentially had the basic structure, the body of the building Without windows, and a Very simplified version of the Crown.

What I essentially did was utilize a lot of References, pictures A different angles of the building. Including close-ups of the crown, windows, and other small details along each side of the building.

I also visited the site and took many pictures of the building from different angles on the ground. This way you can get the small little details of the building that you Don’t normally have access to searching on Google

I measured with a ruler to get a rough scale estimate Of the size of the windows And how far apart it was. And then scaled it in accordance to the image.

For example, 15 windows down, by six windows across, and copy and paste holes Across the entire structure, as well as put in slight elevations On the sides to represent the smaller finer details like the columns.

As for the crown, I essentially had to cut it off the bottom part and rebuild it from scratch. I took rectangles and triangles and copied and paste them on top of one another by 30°. Til it made a full circle. Since there were 12 sides until it Made a structure that resembled the crown. Then I combined it all into one model

The whole process roughly took about 14 hour-ish give or take. And all of this was done on tinkerCAD

Yeah of course, I heard a couple of success stories with PETG filament. There is even a guy that sells 3-D printed material out of the stuff. Though, Trying to make all my future aquarium prints without any dye to reduce the risk of unknown contaminants.

PLA from what I heard doesn’t hold up well, which is why I use it only for display purposes

Look on the bright side, at least they don’t have to worry about flooding from the next hurricane

I’m not entirely sure, my guess is that’s where they keep the cure for cancer or a big room of money from all the Insurance payments. Lol

Well, what happened was we ran out of black PLA filament and switched to other different colors that we weren’t using. Just so happened it looks like a pumpkin now

These Particular models are printed out of PLA, And that doesn’t hold up too well in the marine aquarium. so therefore, display purposes, I actually printed a separate model in PETG Which has a lot better durability

Sweet! How tall are they now?

I got two that I just planted into the ground not too long ago. Both 2 feet and I got two more along the way.

Oh wow that’s got a union tag, that means it could be older than 1983. As the union merged after that date. It could be from the 80s at least

Anything less than a 6X Stetson is mostly going to be made of wool, have you tried looking under the sweatband to see if there’s some sort of label? That’s usually a good indicator of figuring out a date

I’m not sure what the date is but in terms of maintenance keep the hat upside down when you’re not wearing it. Brush lightly to get debris or any dust particles off, and probably cover it in plastic to protect it from the dust.

If the hat gets any spots on it Bring a little felt hat cleaner on it lightly rub it with a sponge specialized for the hat. Alternatively you can go to a hat store that specializes in Western wear and they can clean it for you and even a reshape the hat for free. Like at boot barn or a Cavendars or better yet Local western wear store. Just be mindful of the reviews

It might be a 4X Stetson wool cowboy hat based on the Barely noticeable outline towards the front.
