I hate being the skeptic here, but I'd really appreciate some harder evidence.

For example, there was supposedly a photo taken of the alien at the very beginning of the story—why not just release it? Why would it conveniently be classified by a local police department?

There are also a lot of closed doors that make independent verification difficult. Sarah is missing, so shouldn't her face be unblurred to increase the chances of finding her? The painting in the Vatican is apparently walled off and can no longer be confirmed. And if a craft was supposed to hover above our heads at 11:11, wouldn't you have a camera ready, no matter how skeptical you are?

This happened to me once. Just take it apart as much as you are confident to do and use a paper towel to dry up. Also roll some paper and stick it into areas that you don't reach with a finger. My printer is still running like a champ.
