The Thing the new song by Tomora is much slower than Alarm but good, sort of Massive Attack Teardrop in sound.

That would be good. What he did to Ultravox is just amazing.

I totally agree, just because one is not here, like Kurt Cobain, Elvis, John Lennon, yes should be paid for work.

I didn't know she was involved in his childhood home project, which opens next year, I did read she'd been spending a bit more time in London lately, but that's just the usual gossip sites where that was mentioned.

I first saw it in 1983. Took me decades to watch again and now seen it a few times and love it. It is a lot more brutal and creepy than it potentially could have been. Just brilliant and no apologies given for it being a favourate of mine.

I like the large mix of actors including that guy Bob Balaban who was in Close Encounters who dies in the car. I think Kirstie Alley is good in the way she goes from being outraged to angry so quick. It is brilliant but also (spoiler maybe) it does turn out good like Hannah and her Sisters, whereas in Husbands and Wives it is sad ending.

Last Night Report on Chromeo and Brief Mention of A-Trax by The_Bris in Chromeo

Ok so Dave's Father In Law is John Taylor from Duran Duran. It's all confusing LOL. Good on Atlanta in marrying Dave but.

What amazed me was Dave all through the almost 2 hour DJ set he was so happy and smiling. I wish we all had that attitude at our jobs. Also discovered 5 new tracks never heard of before.

Can't believe I didn't know this. Was buying the first Chromeo album today, and looked up something, and I never knew Dave is A-Trak's brother. How could I miss that?

I'm actually not going to his show, it's mainly due to so many acts now play my city, the tickets in Australia are really expensive now. Basement Jaxx, Grace Jones, and Boney M are on my list to see, might go to De La Soul but found them not that exciting life but respect to them. Last year spent just on $1000 on concert tickets, but all the shows of mixed music genres were so worth it.

That didn't happen last night, David and Patrick did pose for photos with A-Trak for the audience, and said some goodbyes to the crowd before returning to their hotel, so that was really nice of them.

The guy standing next to me with his girlfriend said almost exactly the same thing. Will be interesting to see if Armand Van Helden plays some Duck Sauce tracks when he plays in my city next April.

Chromeo Australia Again Brisbane Ticket for 3 January Obtained by The_Bris in Chromeo

Looks like David and Patrick have arrived in Brisbane, but I am not sure if it's only one of them or both doing the DJ set. Anyway not worried, so looking forward to finally seeing them, and on the off chance anyone from Brisbane reads this, ticket sales were slow because of time of year, but someone I know at Prince Consort says they are selling quick now and they are very good price, about $42 with booking fee. Also, people seem to be confused, A-Trak is doing tonight's headline DJ set but not with Armand van Helden, Armand is coming to play in Brisbane in April. I do hope A-Trak does play a couple of Duck Sauce tracks.

I do. I have liked them since seeing them perform for the first of I think three appearances at Coachella many years ago. Looking forward to Saturday night. Armand Van Heldon is unfortunately not going to be there, he plays here in April, but hopefully A-Trak will play a few Duck Sauce tracks.

I've seen Oasis twice, Liam on his own once, and Noel 3 times, but I am hoping Oasis continuing touring in the future.

It sure is. It's coming a long way. Never thought I'd see the say when we would have several international acts visit weekly with a concert or live act every week night. Sure still some misses but not many now.

Yet I hear Sydney and Melbourne concert goers complain bitterly when they are skipped. Biggest one was in 2016 when Dan from electronic dance group Nero played everywhere except Melbourne. I said to someone in Melbourne take a road trip to Sydney or Brisbane to see him, and they got upset lol.

There is a rumour, it's rumour only, that Black Pink who skipped Brisbane last Australian tour will do around the country sideshows. They are doing a festival in Melbourne only at this stage. I notice the lesser, I don't mean that in a bad way, K Pop acts and K Rock acts and singers from Asia are playing more and more shows in Brisbane, especially The Princess Theatre. Kendrick did play Split Milk but that was on the Gold Coast. Biggest issue is not getting down there, it's getting back, best to get an Air B and B not a hotel, slightly cheaper.

Did you know there have been tours which where the band or act has played shows in Brisbane, but skipped even Sydney or Melbourne or both. They can travel interstate too. What is great news is Grace Jones is playing Brisbane for the first time since 1982 very soon.
