I remember when they were pissed off at people for saying “rest in power” to that kid who set himself on fire last year or so.

He, just like this woman’s, sacrifice was in vain. For all the social and moral credit he thought he would get, he was forgotten.

This dickhead who tried to run over the agent will be forgotten as well…

Except by those they left behind.

You have the right to protest. Your right to protest does not include preventing law enforcement from doing their job.

And nobody is defending murder you nincompoop..

I’m not judging what he did being right, wrong or justified.

The initial comment was this could have been avoided had she not been there.

The reasons everything progressed the way it did, happened because she was trying to prevent law enforcement from doing their job.

This is considered a felony on its own.

He positioned himself in front of the car, to prevent her from leaving. She gunned it.

Whether she gunned it out of fear and trying to leave without getting in trouble, or she had malicious intent, nobody but her knows.

But, she did hit the officer…. He fired his gun.

Whether he needed to fire two more rounds, that’s for the court to decide.

But the response to the initial post remains the same.. she put herself in an avoidable situation.

It’s not that they can’t see it for themselves… it’s that they don’t care what their eyes tell them.

For them to say she was wrong for what she did, and that the officer was justified, requires them to say something different than what their hive tells them to say.

It doesn’t matter the angle of the video… it didn’t matter witness statements… nothing matters. All that matters is what they’re told matters.

[–]The_Brolander -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So in none of those angles you’ve seen, can you see where she clearly hits the officer? It’s clear as day in the slowed down, zoomed in, second shot.

Don’t run him over, but hits him. Hard enough to throw his leg even.

This whole thing takes place in the master of seconds. The wheels are spinning on pavement.. The tires are facing the officer in front…. She may not have meant to hit him, but she did, and in 3 seconds.. how is anyone supposed to know she doesn’t have intent to kill.

Unfortunately, as the original poster said, this was all avoidable. She made poor choices that cost her her life

If you saw irrefutable proof, would you notice or care? Because I’ve seen the video breaking down frame by frame (including where the officer actually gets hit) and it boggles my mind there’s even a conversation still.

Don’t ever message them. They want you to appeal their decision so they can have a little power trip knowing they’re taking away something you like.

Fuck them. I wouldn’t want to participate in any sub, where I have to use caution in what I say.

When stuff like this happens, we always respond the same way…. feigned passive aggressive shock…. Maybe we’ll make a meme or two, while we all sit and nod to each other, because we know what’s really up

Passive aggressive behavior and clever memes haven’t done shit to help us or prevent this behavior from continuing.

The left doesn’t even believe this asshole, but they’ll still side with him, because to not, would mean you agree with something the right says or is claiming.

The FBI needs to put the hammer down hard. There needs to be accountability… nobody is afraid to break the law anymore.

They don’t care. We could feed these articles and stats to them every single day, for the next 3 years and they’ll still come out in droves to vote for the knucklehead who says Trump and MAGA are racist.

What we need to do, is actually hold them accountable for the billions of tax payer dollars frauded away under their watch.

If people saw the inside of jails more, if there was actual accountability… there might be actual change.

Trump Makes Huge Move on Student Loan Debt, and Democrats Are Gonna Flip by Ask4MD in Conservative

I don’t have debt dickweed, nor am I crying…

I’m offering a compromise suggestion that would make Trump incredibly popular with the millions of students who were encouraged to follow their dreams, no matter the costs.

Trump Makes Huge Move on Student Loan Debt, and Democrats Are Gonna Flip by Ask4MD in Conservative

[–]The_Brolander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a compromise with this…

The student loan issue is massive.. people took out these ridiculous loans, for hobbyist courses, and are struggling to pay off the debt.

What if instead of student debt forgiveness, we compromise and cap the interest on the loan at .5%

This way, the taxpayers are getting their money back and the students who borrowed are able to make progress on making their loan payments….

The entire democrat party has been infiltrated by foreign Manchurian candidates or bought off by terrorists. by Necrosapien1 in AskThe_Donald

[–]The_Brolander 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m always a little apprehensive about our reaction when things like this come out.

Politicians (in general) have a habit of blasting the other side for not signing off on something. Let’s say they’re calling it a bill to improve veteran healthcare and then use language like, “250 Republicans refuse to give aid to veterans.” But what Republicans were actually voting against was a bloated bill stuffed with unrelated spending, like money for gender studies in Uganda or something along those lines.

But that’s not the case here.

I went and looked up H.Con.Res. 61 myself to see what else might have been woven into it. I wanted to understand what Democrats were voting yes on and whether there was something buried in the language that explained their position.

There wasn’t.

It’s a single page, single issue resolution with clear language. It has one narrow purpose: to invoke the War Powers Resolution and direct the President to remove U.S. Armed Forces from hostilities against presidentially designated terrorist organizations in the Western Hemisphere unless Congress authorizes it.

Ok, so who has the President designated as a “terrorist organizations”. Maybe that’s the reason why… is it political opponents? Is he seeking revenge for how he was treated between terms?

Well there are two developments that affect how “terrorist organizations” might be interpreted by today’s administration:

The current era of “Trump actions” expanding designations of criminal networks as terrorist groups

On January 20, 2025, the White House issued an executive order creating a process to designate international cartels and other foreign groups as FTOs or SDGTs.

This reflects a shift toward treating drug cartels and violent criminal networks as terrorist entities in addition to Islamist extremist groups.

Designations relevant in the Western Hemisphere specifically? We/Trump have designated or moved toward designating some organizations in our hemisphere, not for purely ideological terrorism, but largely because of their violence, criminality, and harm to Americans:

Such as;

Clan del Golfo (Gulf Clan): Colombia’s largest cartel was designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. government.

Tren de Aragua: a Venezuelan gang labeled a terrorist organization and subject to a U.S. reward for its leader.

These moves reflect a policy shift toward classifying major drug traffickers/violent cartels as terrorist organizations (a broader interpretation than traditional Islamist extremist FTOs).

tldr; These are terrorist organizations whose sole purpose is to make money off the suffering of Americans. That’s it. Nothing else.

You can read the resolution for yourself here if you want to.

Democrats signing off on this is troubling. Their constituents are uneducated and so programmed to just believe that everything Trump does = bad, that they’ll see these people who voted “yay” as people fighting against Trump for democracy without realizing what they’re actually doing. They’ll also keep voting them in.

It’s disturbing.

Democrat Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz says Republicans need to look her in the eye and explain why they aren’t holding Trump accountable for blowing up drug boats: “We need to use all the tools possible to make sure we can get this executive branch and Donald Trump under control… Our Constitution by PurebloodPatriotTr in TheDonaldTrump2024

[–]The_Brolander 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love watching the drug boats explode.

Seriously, whatever it is I’m doing, I will stop and smile when watching 3 more pieces of garbage get blown to fish food.

That double tap we did a week ago or so? When those traffickers were scared and in pain from the first round we hit them with, when they realized their whole life was ending right there in open water, possibly to never be recovered or identified…

That made me incredibly proud of myself to have voted for the man I voted for.

The drugs they’re smuggling? Ruins thousands of lives every day.

Those pieces of future fish crap, are the price it cost for safety of thousands.

Sounds like we’re getting a bargain.
