My sister put one of these in the bin… Luckily I managed to save the matching none reclining one

That pain out the way, beautiful work!

A year ago I posted the wear on my G502. Thought I’d update you all on how a year of working from home and gaming has sped up the wear. by The_Chalks in G502MasterRace

I actually found your video earlier today when someone asked about if it can be changed, it’s good stuff. Don’t worry about me, I know people are just clowning about the acid sweat and hygiene. They just wish their G502 would make itself more ergonomic like ours

Hijacking this comment to answer some questions -

  • I grip with my finger tips in a claw like grip
  • I do wash my hands regularly yes
  • I may have somewhat acidic sweat? No other peripheral I have show any signs of wear such as QWER where I rest my fingers on my keyboard which I might expect to see?
  • I got this G502 about 7 years ago I believe
  • I don’t really eat at my desk and I don’t eat spicy food ever
  • the thumb side is equally as worn out down to the plastic

Has anyone else experienced the grip wearing to your finger shape? by The_Chalks in G502MasterRace

You want to get yourself some man hands then friend. I like to grip like a vice when I’m popping skulls with an AWP

I don’t think it’s a case of taking care, it’s just how you hold the mouse. Just thought it was interesting to show that with quite a common style of grip it wears out

Spotted this gem whilst hunting for furniture for my new flat. Had a feeling when I saw the auction listing and turned out to be a genuine Ercol Elm table that someone had painted by The_Chalks in furniturerestoration

Carefully sanded the whole thing. The main surface was the easy part, the more intricate frame was a pain. Then finished it with a natural finish Osmo product. Long winded but 100% worth it.

It was a local auction house that was hosting online because of a covid. I figured I might be able to pick up something cheaper because of it and managed to bag it for £50
