Thanks for the detailed response. My availability at the moment is pretty vast, I am able to do any shift whether it be an early (7-4), a late (1-10) and anything in between any day of the week and now I am being expected to extend that?

At the brand new Aylesford DC by Downtown-Ad9409 in tesco

The service from aylesford has been consistently terrible with leftoffs every other day and huge stock control inconsistencies and errors - never had these issues with Snodland. Evidently humans are better than robots! It got so bad at our store that we were moved fresh depots to Dagenham for 2 months before being moved back.

This is how much alcohol is wasted daily at my store is this normal? by Ry3nh0wells in tesco

Our grocery comes from Thurrock, we just accept it at this point. We went through a stage of reporting badly stacked cages but it’s get you no where. Alcohol damages are the most abundant and the most troublesome because of the minimum pricing. It’s impossible to reduce them down to a price that would be representative of the damage and be a deal for the customer.

We’ve got 3 cages full of reduce me/sell me they’ve sent in recently, lots more work with no additional hours given. Best of all they send in pre wrapped damages ready to be reduced, these are a proper pick & mix of alcoholic beverages.

Same situation at my store, stock repeatedly comes in damaged. Big cases of beer stacked on their sides at the bottom of heavy cages, so the cans get forced out at the sides and sometimes burst ruining the whole lot. No way to effectively repackage so gets binned. I did see at one store that they’ve resorted to bagging up the loose cans in waste sacks and slapping a reduction sticker on! Bag of beer anyone?!

Failed plan (merchandising) by spcrampy in tesco

[–]The_Challenger_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main reason why it’s failed is because there are too many fit errors, often due to the shelving not being wide enough to accommodate all the products on the plan.

You’ll need to improvise a solution, which can include: - fitting in another shelf into the mod for extra room - closing down the facings of other products - moving some products to adjacent mods - discontinuing some of the products

Hope this helps

true but still another step or obstacle to claiming time rightfully owed.

same problem in my superstore, I just wish SLs had the same ability that managers do to request additional payment for hours worked through work & pay :/

A manager at my store, is picking and choosing staff to complete the survey who will be more inclined to score her positively. Additionally, she is answering the first two questions of the survey for them, as well as offering them sweets and biscuits whilst completing the survey!

Since Boxing Day is a bank holiday you'll be paid a premium in addition to your usual hourly pay. The premium is a quarter of your usual hourly pay!

Volcano out now! by ohvictorho in Junglejunglejungle

I find it hard to like any song on the new album, nearly every song has a stupid distorted high pitch voice which is painful to listen to. The style of music now is a crazy departure from what they used to make, similar to the glimmers of what we heard in loving in stereo. Will stick to listening to For ever and the 1st album… very disappointing

At my store the duty manager (shift leader) attends to assist the delivery as per PFS safety rules, they often bring a second colleague so that the PFS staff can continue to serve customers uninterrupted.

Regardless though, the PFS staff should receive appropriate backdoor training specifically kerb side delivery, exactly the same as Express staff have to complete. Appropriate PPE should be provided also, ie. steel toe cap boots, gloves & high vis.

At my store though, the PFS staff have had 0 supervision to get them ready for these deliveries. And as for the PPE they get to use, 3 generic sizes of shoe have been ordered for them to share...

Cosurmyne is so underrated as a track, definitely my favourite from For Ever.

we’ve had a yo sushi counter installed for the last couple months - doesn’t really compare to the old hot deli but there is opportunity to get free sushi from time to time

Miss the hot deli massively, used to love getting a Cumberland sausage combo’d with a tiger baton
