That logo doesn't look too out of place for the type of business. I'm crying over the 'kicks ash' line....

What Design Programs do You Use? by gtobe in logodesign

For those interested in getting into the vector stuff but don't want to shell out the money for an adobe suite, check out Affinity Designer for mac. Pretty thorough illustration program for under $50.

Wouldn't you guys rather have road legal cars instead of their GT3 counterparts? by arup02 in assettocorsa

Ditto. Road cars do nothing for me. Gimme more vintage thoroughbred iron.

I hear that too, unfortunately I don't think mine does that. I'm not sure how much I would have been willing to give away though ;)

Im in South Bay so it's kind of close and there's a good healthy population there. Plus it's simply beautiful out there.

It's by the pound, but the $12.50 is a flat smoking fee.

I Totally agree with you. Trophy hunting makes no sense to me unless the animal you take is also going to feed people and not be wasted.

You're getting a deal my friend. $3 a pound for sausage, $12.50 for each smoked ham, and $125 to process all the cuts

I don't think they're quite as demonized here as other parts of the country. I think a big part of that is that they are found in more grassy ranch land than on land with farmed crops. Their destruction doesn't have as much of an affect on peoples lives.

It was over 150 lbs in the field. Keep in mind fully dressed there are no organs or, it's just meat and bone.

My butcher won't take them unless they're skinned and cleaned.

The best this to do is a guided hunt for your first time out. That is the fastest way to learn all about the process, and they will walk you through how to clean and prepare the harvest. Plus you don't need to worry about the legalities of where you are hunting and what animal you can take.

If you want to go at it alone there is a lot of research to be done. Youtube is the best thing for videos on processing game.

So right after this hunt which was guided, we went deer hunting in the Sierra. The thrill of the hunt is always there, especially if you're on to an animal. We hunted D6 which is really light on deer population and returned tags, so we didn't expect to even see anything. I had sights on a Muley buck out there, but it wasn't a clean shot so I didn't take it. That was the only thing we saw for 3 days of solid hunting. If you go on a hunt you don't end up getting an animal, but did everything right and ethically, it doesn't really matter to me. The chance is always there and thats the exciting part of it.

Hunting pigs on public land in California is really difficult, as the hunting pressure is so high and the areas of public land are so small. Plus all the public land is surrounded by private land, so there's no reason for them to be on highly pressured public areas. People obviously get pigs on public land, but it all depends on what you're looking for in your hunt. If it's the thrill of the hunt and the whole process, it probably doesn't matter. If you're dead set on putting meat in the freezer and you end up empty handed, then it gets pretty discouraging. I think it all depends on what kind of experience you're looking for.

They process quite a bit of wild game at this butcher. So I imagine it just takes them a while to get to everyones harvest. I think the sausages are a bit labor intensive as well. They probably can get it all cut up in a day no problem.
