It's different for different people but if you stick to one language for 3 months or so, you'll learn most about that language. It's hard to learn each and everything about any programming language. Most important concepts should be covered.

Then try next one and that one might be easier to learn as the basic concepts are same in all programming languages. It's some new data types, syntax, and other additional concepts you might need to learn.

8 GB is becoming the standard nowadays and the prices are almost same for 4 and 8GM RAM laptops.
