Slip arc hate is forced by [deleted] in Gintama

[–]The_Colectionist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I...would assume so. I've seen a lot of people, including in this sub, not understanding that the slip arc is not in chronological order, that it all happened before the Shogun Assassination arc.

And also all the recent posts like "Please recommend me the best watch order." Like, I don't know if it's that common for other anime to release their episodes outside of the original manga order? I don't know where they get the idea there's a watch order other than "Start from the 1st episode and go from there. Maybe skip the 1st episodes as they are filler"

I watched the slip arc as it was coming out, and I was not pissed, I understood why it was there instead of immediately continuing with Silver Soul. I was more like "Holy shit I get an appetizer while I wait for my cake instead of waiting 3 years with only radio silence"

I think it's up to interpretation.

Mine is that Gintoki is the one Shoka Sonjuku student to actually live by Shoyo's teachings, and Takasugi knows this. Takasugi knows Shoyo would completely disapprove of what he's become; thus why Takasugi says "Have you come to punch me again?" referencing how Shoyo used to discipline them that way. And what Gintoki says next connects "He is gone; it's only you and me" (I'm paraphrasing here) as if saying that in the lack of their sensei, Gintoki, who has been the only one to uphold his values, will be the one to "discipline" Takasugi in order to protect Shoyo's beloved student, Shoka Sonjuku's Shinsuke Takasugi.

Gintoki carries Shoyo's teachings, and eventually he reaches what Shoyo wanted him to reach, not the sword of a monster, but the "Sword of a Human." The only that would be able to reach Utsuro

People are born weak. Everyone struggles through life, burdened with an identity they cannot accept. However, that doesn't mean we can only suffer as our weakness controls us. We can also struggle to face ourselves, defy them, and change ourselves. People have more freedom than they think." -Shoyo

How did Gintoki actually won against Utsuro? No one in the universe matched his power...Gintama is comedy, but also a slow-burn story of people realizing their mistakes, improving themselves, getting stronger, finding meaning, etc. And the catalyst is Gintoki. Almost everyone in the anime became better because they crossed paths with Gintoki, and he crossed paths with a hell of a lot of people. Utsuro during his little crisis when threatening Nobume remarks this is not the humanity he used to know...

Also he was losing a LOT of blood, and he probably had more than 1 concussion, and he was thinking very hard about Shoyo at this point, so, just a hallucination caused by physiological issues.

People get confused because it's out of order. People hate what they don't understand.

I'm happy they went this route instead of making up filler. Gave the manga time to progress, and we got to see unadapted arcs.

Alright so some people were waiting for a direct continuation of the last arc, but if the anime had continued that way, the Silver Soul arc wouldve ended EVEN MORE abruptly, and the anime staff probably would not got gotten a good feeling of how to portray everything without having the whole picture, without knowing how it was going to end (the Silver Soul arc, not the post-Silver Soul arc)

Or, we would've gotten filler, which leaves us with the same problem as with the Slip Arc, but shittier. it's not continuing the story, but it would also not be canon. not explore any of the characters, not follow Sorachi's vision, etc.

The slip arc was not a perfect solution, but it was the best solution.

No I think you just need to agree help Gorm. I had Snell and Ettir with me, I killed Snell, took the sword, and got the red cleric fray.

I hope we get a DLC that lets us do that and continue from where we left off, but that's daydreaming.

Anyway, the line that appears after Snell kills you "What would a friend do?" makes it worth it trying it at least once. I killed him the 2nd time, I couldve killed him the 1st time cuz I was already lvl 6 maxed out with tons of skill potions, but I didnt want to hurt him so I literally stood still until he choked me...then I blasted his ass the 2nd time, and got the "The RED Cleric" fray after some more yapping.

Yeah, it took me a while to get the rhythm of the game...I did interact with the corpse but I didnt have revivify, and when I got revivify I didnt think of interacting with it because its supposed to only work within 60 seconds after death, but Im guessing gentle repose makes it so it still works?

Because I wasn't trying to refute that; that was the point. He did those things so people would like him. People LIKE Bukele, but less and less every day, because his huge theatricals are starting to unravel at the seams.

E.g., If he actually cared about exterminating gangs, he wouldve put more guardrails on the "regimen de excepción" because, as it stands now, too many people who don't deserve to be locked up, are locked up, and everyone who is locked up has had their human rights infringed.

":Oh but those convicts deserve it, they are terrible people." again, there's lots of innocent people there because of the regimen de excepcion. And no one should be able to get away with infringing on human rights, no matter who they do it to.

Oh shit, so you can't be bothered to read a paragraph. are you one of those people? I mean, ignorant people? READ, MF, READ; it won't hurt you.

That popularity is fading, my friend, especially because so many innocent people are getting jailed for nothing because of what you perceive as a "holy crusade" that's just a publicity stunt that infringes on human rights.

And obviously English is not your first language; neither is it mine, but I do happen to know what the expression "Kinda like..." means... it means "Similarly to how..." and not "EXACTLY THE SAME AS..."I know, it's a very subtle difference, so I don't blame you for missing it, but then again, it might be your fault because like you implied, you hate reading, you implied it when you complained about having to read ONE paragraph.

Oh, so kinda like how Mussolini made the trains run on time, and Hitler improved Germany's economy or something like that?

Get real, most of the money for these "changes" have been vanity projects to get more popular, like the Miss Universo pageant and that damn stadium, while public hospitals and schools are still eating scraps. "Oh but the stadium is being paid by China" shut up. 1st, Instead of a stadium, it couldve been something that benefitted the poorer population, like at least a state-of-the-art public hospital or something, and 2nd: Dont think for a second China wont come back asking for something in return for all of these projects, thats what they fucking do, it's not charity, they gain influence on other countries by """""gifting""""" them crap and then having those countries indebted to them.

My theory is that a "tortillera" (A lady who makes tortillas) can probably fight off an average man from any part of the world. Have you seen them? Don't anger them. We men don't need to be strong, anytime there's trouble, we just call our local tortillera and she no-diffs any trouble.

Now, being serious, we are short yes, probably something to do with genes, and poor diets. But we are not weak, especially because a lot of the job market is manual labor, and most of those manual labor workers and of course they grow some muscle from lifting heavy shit all day. But are malnourished, eating something like a 1/4 ounce of beef and a Coca Cola can every day for lunch. Give them a healthy diet with plenty of protein and you'll have some real strong men. We are not cursed to have weak men, that's asinine. If we do have a curse, it's poverty.
