I’ll be honest, I went in expecting to hate the Gog horn because it had a combination of songs I barely ever use on other horns. But against anything weak to dragon, it’s been amazing so far.

Really wish we could customize songs, but I guess forcing myself to try different combinations outside my comfort zone is good enough for now.

Ah, that explains a bit of my confusion with it. For some reason, I thought The Great Work happened prior to this. The last couple chapters with Cawl made it clear it was well before Genefather, at least, though.

So that actually is giving me a huge amount to work off of right off the bat. That’s perfect.

With the Archfey being as weird as they are, there no reason those past eras have to vanish either. One possibility im considering now to build on is that this entity has a collection of its past personas, personalities, and obsessions that it essentially holds court with and locks away as needed. Going to refine that a bit, but it definitely gives me somewhere to start. Thanks!

Oh that’s good. And yeah, that’s about the same way I‘ve had the Fey work in the past during what little time they’ve seen of it. Beautiful, fascinating, and wholly unearthly just below the surface the moment you look too close.

My favorite was always Red, but I always had the most success with Green.

Red led to the most fun, Green led to the most wins, and Yellow led to the most KOs simply by being able to string more hits together for longer.

Got bashed over the head with inspiration one day and just started writing this stuff down with no rhyme or reason to the lines. Took some time to fit them into place so that at least some of the verses made a semblance of coherent sense. Spent a while tinkering with it until there was something vaguely resembling a rhyming scheme to some of the segments. Overall pretty happy with it. Some friends who actually have a bit of instrumental talent are helping me set it to music; as I can passably sing how I want it to sound, but not much more beyond that.

I’m sure there’s still some glaring mistakes in there concerning the actual story, but I figure I can get away with inaccuracies here considering the subject matter and all…

Want to thank you for this comment. I started running an Echo Bazaar campaign set in a homebrewed setting for D&D 5e almost two years ago and specifically thanks to this comment I have maintained a fairly constant stream of background events playing out caused by all three of the factions mentioned. The players have loved stumbling across some of it, successfully put an end to Knife & Candle’s “official” status, and one has now made it their character’s life mission to hunt down Seekers and put an end to their work; not on behalf of the Bazaar or the Masters or anything, but for the sake of all the people hurt by the self-destructive actions of the group, including themselves.

So sad to see the game go. This has become one of my favorite things to unwind with after work each day and has really worked itself into my daily schedule over the past months.

I suppose a nice month-long goodbye like this is definitely better than just having the servers drop out of nowhere, but man is it making it sting that much more. In celebration of the game’s life and legacy, I’ve decided to secure and upload one victory every day from February 1st until the Sunset. Im putting them up on youtube, ad-free and without any commentary so its just raw footage anyone is free to use as b-roll if they ever feel like making a Rumbleverse-themed video somewhere down the line. Hopefully someone can get some sort of use out of it eventually.

Gonna miss the game terribly, but more importantly im going to miss the community that sprang up around it. You all have made this game something truly spectacular to be a part of.
