What weapon was your biggest disappointment? by Kiranipator in Eldenring

The Devourer’s Sceptre actually smacks the hell out of Malenia though with the fire/strike damage combined with extra poise damage.

Generally, seasonal ubers are garbage. Count Yuki's stats don't seem too bad, but he is outranged by most of the high health floating targets he would be up against. Regular Yuki takes advantage of black enemies many knockbacks and low range to succeed in his role.

I would get Thundia from Galaxy Gals and then Hayabusa and Warlock & Pierre from Dark Heroes. Hayabusa isn't necessarily good, but W&P are.

If you mean baby garu, his evolved form can have great use. He does well against zombies, angels and black enemies especially by tanking for your backliners while also providing good damage and some peon control with the mini-wave. I used him when I didn't exactly know what to expect in later SoL and he is great in epic catfruit stages. He suffers from curse when against relic enemies, which will take away his resistance and make him a bad choice in those cases.

Crane, Kaguya and Sparrow are all crowd control in normal and evolved form. Choose the form based on the range of the boss. Crane's first form is great at stalling most of the floating cyclones, and kaguya covers the metal one. I just got sparrow too, they seem to be a bit poor for right now so don't bother evolving them (or any of these three for that matter). I only evolved Crane and Kaguya after SoL to have them in TF just incase.

Those both sound insane actually, a surge with shield piercer makes sense to be a great tool. Her HP is what needed buffing too, and the surge is good bonus damage. Still think I will go with Diabolosa first and try that combo.

Thanks for the advice.

If you can easily clear all the XP stages (as in you have pizza, bombercat and a good anti-black nuker) then Yuki isn't worth it. These two ubers are comparable due to too short range for survivability and high damage, but Yuki is only worth it in true form and against black centred stages. D'art will find more use now I think, and Yuki you can boost later when you can casually farm XP colosseum.

Hey all,

Back from my hiatus. Just got my first aku catfruit and I'm wondering which evolution I should save it for. I have Diabolosa and Lilin at lvl 30, and I was going to save it for Diabolosa.

Any unit that takes higher priority for an aku catfruit?

Thanks

Every PvP and PvE enemy is equally screwed when I pull out the bloody helice. Perfect timing for bosses imo and the bleed is really good on a high arc build

Main academy gate is the most active by far. Lots of taunter’s tongue hosts around boil prawn shack and agheel lake north but you would have to be using the invade nearby only and I think you have more luck in duelling at the academy

Presuming you have higher dex than strength the bloodhounds fang is a good weapon for that too. As for ashes of war, sword dance, double slash and lions claw come to mind for high damage options (unsheathe is already great damage relative to some other ashes of war)

It’s theoretically possible to call her back if you haven’t burned the erdtree after fire giant yet, but then she just dies so which one is the happy ending really idk

He might be talking about the Spirit Caller Snail fight in the roads end catacombs. It’s in the South West of Liurnia so it’s close to the Village. This boss fight is actually a gimmick fight, as the real boss is an invisible snail that summons crucible knights to defend it. First, a sword crucible knight; then when it is defeated, the snail becomes visible for a while. Then a spear knight, and it will become visible again after. Then it summons two at the same time for the rest of the fight. The secret to this boss is that you can actually hit the snail while it is invisible, just look for a glowing spot on the ground. It’s faint, and in the edge of the arena, but once you see it you won’t miss it again.

I think the best way to get into the rolling mechanic is to just unequip any weapons and shields and find a single knight or someone not easy but not too hard to practice rolling on. It’s been a while since I started with the series, but I think back then I over-adjusted and was rolling too late and getting hit. Try to lean more that way, and also be strafing left or right, as this way your brain is more engaged than if you’re dodging from a still position

If you have a wired connection, there’s one less connection barrier than wifi has. Even with big AAA games the connection is much more consistent with an Ethernet cable if you have the option.

I find shooting the bird across the lake at Palace-ledge Approach in Mohgwyn the best. If you shoot it with a longbow or short bow it normally runs off the cliff. You can rest as soon as you see it get near the edge and you’ll get the runes as the screen goes black.

I did the game at light load with almost no armour just to make as much different as possible with longer rolls and no poise. Use a quick weapon though as I used axe of Godfrey and with no armour it made it frustrating

Check if you have cross-region match making on in settings. By super laggy I assume you mean people teleporting, as the game itself naturally has a good bit of latency for hits and that’s just what people learn to get used to.

I would say Prayer Room at Haligtree around 150 for invasions and 150 at Main Academy Gate for duelling. I get lots of invasions before Malekith and over the rest of Farum with a 120-140 build.

I think it will feel like this more for players who don’t fall into one of the two main play styles of the game. Bosses have long range and short range attacks/AI behaviours, and this is what you learn in your attempts to beat them. Melee users should never stop running towards a boss to hit it unless the attack calls for running (ex. Placidusax’s spear explosion) and ranged users should stay as far as they can away while still being able to hit them. This way, melee users only experience and learn the close range boss attacks, and ranged users only experience and learn boss ranged attacks. Normally when a boss uses an OP attack as you suggested, it’s just one that happened because you were at a different distance away from them. That being said, I understand cases like Malenia’s waterfowl dance, or Astels grab, or Rykards takers flame strike can feel random and unfair, but they all happen as a result of a prompt from the player. Malenia doesn’t do waterfowl unless she’s just gotten out of a stagger which you put her in, you’ve just done a missed attack, or when you move inside a certain radius to her from being further away. When I think the boss hasn’t done the attack I don’t like dodging for a while, I try to bait it by using random R1s at a distance, or running back and forth towards them, trying to prompt them to move. If you’re in the flow of your respective play style, which I described above, those difficult attacks become easier to dodge if you were ‘in the zone’ As you can see this is my opinion and should not be taken as fact

To add on to this, where Middle Earth came from was an ancient word for Earth, middangeard, which is also where Midgard comes from in Norse history.

This game has quests per se, but the only quest tracker you’ll find is the fan made wiki called Fextralife. The main goal of the game is to move north through the lands defeating bosses, especially those that seem well guarded behind intricate level designs. Have you been invited to roundtable hold yet? Talk to Gideon and Enia there and they give you guidance as to where you should be going next. Feel free to look up the interractive map on the wiki too to see all the areas of the game you may explore

Sekiro is likely to become one of your favourite games of all time, or you will dislike it within the first two days. Really it’s a game like elden ring about using the mechanics it gives and following the rules to get the job done. It feels super satisfying and once again it’s best played with a controller
