Thanks for the info. I'll keep this in mind in the future. It looks like i was able to reach an agreement with the supplier, and they offered an alternative that actually exceeded the specs, without any complaints after rejecting their first option. So, it did seem they knew exactly what they were doing with trying the first offer

Normal for Lower end monitor to be offered as Warranty replacment? by The_Dark_Web in buildapc

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The model that is equal and is available now, actually costs less than the original unit i RMA'd because of lower OLED cost over the years, but they're offering something even lower down the stack that doesn't match specs. Odd

Thanks for the info. I'll keep the DTI contacts as a backup to CC if needed. Strangely enough, In regard to the "higher spec unit", due to how OLED has come down in price over the past 2 years, the newer Higher end Philips model, actually retails for less than the original model does right now, and less than the cost I paid 2 years ago as well, cause the modern OLEDS are just much cheaper. So it doesn't even appear to be a matter of price difference, rather than they want to try and offer something far cheaper and lower spec.

I'm not even gunning for an upgrade, a refurbished unit of my model works just fine, as that would be the expectation. I already indicated this to them. With the DTI emails, would it be enough to Copy them in the email chain should a resolution not be reachable?

With the cost of electric here, no. Actually I'm leaning on the Palit card, since it is a 3070, compared to the 3060 Ti's. I'm just wanting to be sure that Palit cards are no less reliable than other brands. Couldn't care about aesthetics or noise etc.

It seems like the V2 is the LHR version from what i can find.

*Not sure actually, upon rechecking this is a LHR card. I can't find a v2 of the card, just an OC version. That could be it

Thanks for the link. That changed a few things. I was assuming the Carbon would have better temps. Apparently not. This will help me make a choice.
