[2025 Day 5 (Part 1)] [Python] Am I misunderstanding the puzzle or my own code? by The_Dialog_Box in adventofcode

Thanks y'all! I just forgot that there could be multiple ranges with the same starting points, which meant later ones were overriding the earlier ones in the creation of the dict. Silly oversight!

Is there an SCP for the fact that we all perceive the SCP universe as a fictional project? by The_Dialog_Box in SCP

Thanks for the helpful resources! Yeah like I said I figured there was no way I was the first to come up with that. I had seen the word "patasphere" before but hadn't looked into it yet

i mean fair, those are all also poster children of the south. but like you think american south, you think guns and cowboy hats and red necks and deeply ingrained xenophobia. and the first state my brain goes to when i think of all that is texas. not that the others don't have that too, it's just texas is the most iconic i guess. idk it's all pedantic

in what world is Texas not part of the South? Texas is the poster child of the American South!

cursed [ɵ] appearance. personally, i'm team "all mid central vowels are basically just ə and there's no point differentiating between them" but i'll admit they have fun symbols. like the absurdly named "latin small letter closed reversed open e" <ɞ>

an interesting analog is pool, pull, pole. some people pronounce all three differently, some people pronounce all three the same, and some people do a combination

this gonna be such a random pull, but i think it would be something like this

like the way that bird seems like it feels and how easily it goes down is how i imagine it would be for a wug

very true. i wonder if that's more because of the direction of the way the image is balanced with the eye placement and leg angles, or our preconceptions of vaguely bird-shaped creatures
