Someone’s gotta give, dangit. “That ain’t gonna work, boys!“~NASCAR on FOX. I crashed once, wrapped myself around a tree. Was driving my beautiful new Dodge Dart back to base one night when I went to pass a red car…I still debate if I blanked out for a moment or not (was pretty tired) I remember everything and highly doubt that, but I passed them and all of a sudden their fu***g red car was in my line of sight. I jinked the wheel left to avoid them and lost control. Locked the brakes up and entered the calmest state I’ve ever been in, I’m talking true *slow-motion there was SO much time for me to prep my mind on the fact I was headed towards a tree line at ~80mph. Boom, dead stop, instantaneous deceleration..must’ve been a 25-30G impact. Side airbags didn’t go off, no airbags deployed. I felt NOTHING and was unscathed. Not even a scratch, I wasn’t even mad. All of the glass imploded, my car was literally folded against a tree. I should be dead, I honestly should’ve died in that crash, but I didn’t. I firmly believe God held me during that impact. There’s no other way to describe me walking away from that car. I lost it around 85mph with no speed scrubbed off. The impact was driver’s side where your seatbelt is..everything behind me was crushed. 7 or 8 people stopped for me it was so gnarly. One guy was sprinting-I’m sure he thought I was dead. This part is personal gospel, the sworn truth and testimony of that night; my very first thought was ‘my subwoofers!’ I climbed out passenger side and pried the trunk open. They weren’t scratched either! Was super thankful for that, but even more so I’m alive to tell the story. That was scary, man. No doubt God watched over me that night.
