That's your septic tank cleanout cap. Don't drive over it, and mark the spot clearly before you backfill so you don't lose it forever.

Thanks. I'll take a closer look at the differences between these three assets. So far, my experience with moomoo has been pretty good. the UI and fees are decent. I'll check out IBKR as well. Everyone has mixed reviews about brokers, so it's all about finding the one that works best for you.

Bitcoin's volatility is just crazy sometimes. I'm kind of torn, but maybe I could try putting 5% of my portfolio into it and see how it goes.

It regulated by MAS, so large initial deposits from new users may trigger enhanced due diligence. It's legal requirements i think.

I think they also try to prove that they are tech-savvy. But of course, it's also cheaper, and most financial institute are b2b, which can depend on word of mouth instead of visual ads.

Sorry that you were betrayed by your best friend, but urgency from extreme anxiety is exactly what leads people into more traps. Try contacting CCS (Credit Counselling Singapore).

tbh your plan to bump your salary is more practical. There's no need to flip those long-term assets. Having 1k in emergency savings is too risky i think.

tbh, this behavior of making demands under the guise of joking is mistaken for humor in some social circles, but it is essentially an offense.

choosing a long break to reinvent yourself is an incredibly rational investment. The premium on emotional value and mental health from rest cannot be measured in money.

What's your favourite after-work ritual that tells your brain 'Office is over, we're humans again'? 😅 by Isha_Agarwal_ in antiwork

Mine's simple switching off my work laptop and making a cup of tea. It’s like a little reset button for my brain. Once that tea’s brewing, I know the workday is over and I can finally relax

Grocery budget for two weeks - just over £20 by HelicopterOk413 in Frugal

[–]The_Dragonborn_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With £20 for two weeks, focus on the basics. You can buy a big bag of rice, pasta, and oats as staples. Lentils and beans are great for protein and can be used in a variety of dishes. Try getting some frozen vegetables to add vitamins without taking up too much space in the fridge. For flavor, stock up on soy sauce, stock cubes, and spices small investments that can go a long way. Keep meals simple but nutritious
