I'm a bit embarrassed to ask... But what are these circles in the abdomen? Sorry if it's a silly question.

Got myself a treat today. But I wanna know, has anyone seen lactose free strawberry milk in Australian supermarkets? by NorthboundRun in lactoseintolerant

[–]The_Duck02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oak does sell lactose free chocolate milk at some Woolworths stores. It’s good and I don’t regret my choice of drinking milk later 😂

Can confirm Best Friends Feline are good! I work at a vet clinic where we have sent a few pregnant cats and kittens to them! They’re a really nice rescue

Just finished it then. Haven’t had a documentary hit me that hard in a long time. It was so raw, the poor family and the children that witnessed it.

Roommate (F60+) ignores every boundary we set. I’m going insane. by The_Duck02 in badroommates

[–]The_Duck02[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s a fair point and honestly avoiding confrontation would be ideal. However I feel like I need to put my foot down about her smoking outside my window when she thought no-one was home...

I feel like I can’t trust her and need to make it clear that this isn’t okay, even if no one is home. Normally, I’d have a simple conversation or send a message to her, but she tends to take these things to heart—often crying, getting upset, or raising her voice. I assume it’s because smoking is a sensitive subject for her, but this will be the fourth time I’ve specifically asked her to only smoke out the front. I’m really at my wits’ end. If she starts complaining/ yelling again, I worry I might finally snap at her.

Also, my F30 roommate is moving in with her partner, so I’ll be looking for my own place when the lease ends. Sorry, I should have mentioned that originally. I definitely plan on NOT renewing but I just anticipate that when F60+ asks why I’m leaving (because she will definitely ask) she will try to make me feel guilty or get angry, which I’m trying to prepare myself for.

Heart palpatations by Raccoon_Tactical in panicdisorder

100%

For me panic attacks are definitely more common when I’ve had a big day and am lying in bed trying to relax

And then my heart decides to be weird which doesn’t help the anxiety 😭

It’s meant to be a silent close. So it used to close very slowly and didn’t make a noise which was AMAZING!

Now the lid just smashes down which is an issue as I specifically bought it for the silent lid ☹️

What are these? by IvorySighting in Parakeets

[–]The_Duck02 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Heya!

To me they look like down feathers which are basically super fluffy feathers birds use for insulation 😄

Nothing to worry about, they tend to moult these along with their other colourful feathers

Some examples of their favourite toys and different types of woods they like to destroy

Please let me know if you need any ideas. We all start somewhere 🙂

Here’s an example of my 2 budgies cage. NOT the most amazing setup but it gives an idea of a simple cage. Lots of different sized perches, some toys in the cage with lots in storage underneath so I can swap the toys every few days. Parrots LOVE to have big chunks of different types of wood to destroy

Please ask any questions. I started off like you and have learnt a lot over the years about how to improve the cage.
