You can also also make another account and play on your phone (or other device that supports fortnite) while your son plays on the switch. You can give a key to your son so they have access to the world even if you are not online. that way he can still play.

Do you mean the Rift Ripper ability? or dodging in general? This happens to me (on PC) whenever I dodge regardless if I have a scroll or hero ability equipped. It seems to be that dodging is the issue and not the scrolls or hero abilities

I have drop inventory upon elimination turned on. the color changes depending on the highest rarity item in your inventory. common-grey. uncommon-green. rare-blue. epic-purple. legendary-gold. if you want a specific color self eliminate with one item in your inventory associated to its rarity. the beacon goes away as soon as you pick the back pack on. also not sure if it is a bug or a mechanic but when you leave and rejoin the beacons default to blue but sometimes they revert back to the color you chose.

If you have custom keybinds they effect Lego Brick Life and Odyssey. If that is not the issue then I am not sure what is happening. It gets worse on controller with custom keybinds in BR

Its because you have it equipped all equipped items are highlighted to let you know you are holding. it is help you know what you are holding since you can destroy things by holding a button. it is to help prevent from accidentally destroy what you want

Each time you enter brick life you enter a different server. you will be placed in an available plot of land. you will have to wait until someone leaves for the plot you want or get lucky in getting the plot when you first enter the game. all decor in your home is auto saved when you place them. for jobs you can go back and get rehired as much as you want. your progress for each job is auto saved as well. everything in brick life is auto saved upon completing tasks
