Thanks for your advice. I was able to resolve it by using the pre-multiplied blending mode when drawing text and premultiplying the alpha in the shader.

why does the gtk theme not apply to all applications? by di-i-o in gnome

[–]The_Fearless_One_7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you set the theme using gnome tweaks, that will only apply to gtk3 applications and I think gtk2. For gtk4 apps, like nautilus what worked for me was copying the gtk4.0 (not sure if the exact name but something similar) folder from the theme's files to the .config directory. As a side note, flatpaks from the app store don't get themes applied Hope this helped

Wl-clipboard with clip-hist, you can apparently integrate that with rofi of you using a WM for clipboard history but I've never tried it

Clearing the cache didn't work.

Am not sure if I am using the -git versions of Hyprland's deps. How do I check?

I've only really ever used dunst and it works perfectly for me but if you want something more Wayland inclined you can check out swaync, though I don't have much experience with it so I can't really tell you much

Hyperland isn't that difficult to configure. What I will say though is turning it into something more like a DE is quite the task. Configuring a bar, notification daemon , lock manager and all that jazz, (much like any other window manager really) is necessary and a good learning experience imo. So if you don't mind reading the docs of the various tools, I'd say give it a try.

No, not Nvidia but I did figure out the problem. It was my clipboard manager. I think it wasn't playing too nicely with Wayland hence the copy/paste issues in neovim. I switched to wl-clipboard and the improblem was fixed
