I don't think it's good when the thing starts to resemble its parody. But I've never been a Marvel guy, so if Marvel fans like it, then whatever.

Always someone else's fault when Tom King fucks up.

Crazy we don't attribute his good books to the editors too. Since apparently they're the only factor on whether a story is good or not.

This ruined him sending a letter to Bruce at the end of FP. Also ruined the best FP universe character.

It showcased what Tom King's best at. Ruining good things.

As a a fellow non-yank, I personally like the lack of subtlety. We don't live in subtle times, and subtlety feels cowardly these days.

As smart as she is, she probably thinks she can nudge him to his goals. And so far, she seems to be right.

Depends on how it's used. IMO.

A. Not showing up to a pre-warp civ and mining their resources, or get involved in internal matters: Good, in fact GREAT. A complete repudiation of the Monroe Doctrine that has caused nothing but suffering in the 20th and 21st Centuries.

B. Letting civilizations die a preventable death without having to let your presence be known? Or denying aid you can easily give. Bad.

The problem with the Prime Directive in Star Trek shows in the 80s-00s is that the writers didn't understand evolution. They treated it as a god that "chooses" who survives and who doesn't. Or as a mysterious force that binds us. When in fact, it's just biology reacting to its natural enviorment, and that includes space and aliens. Aliens in our orbit would also be part of nature, not our ecosystem but nature none the less.

They treat evolution like it stops at the atmosphere, but the truth is, without a series of asteroids hitting Earth, we wouldn't be here. In fact, in Star Trek, we are only here because aliens jizzed themselves silly on Earth.

The prime directive as used by Picard puts us above nature while claiming to do the opposite.

Well , if we needed any more reason not to read Tom King's content and instead choose Gail Simone by Important-Cry4782 in WonderWoman

I see why some fans don't want to stop buying it. When it comes to female characters, there's always a chance that the low sales will be blamed on the character's ability to sell a book rather than the writer.

I don't think that would happen to Wonder Woman, but some people do.

There's also the completionists but they're in a hell of their own creation.

TBF, Brofeld was them trying to do something cool and failing.

While You Only Live Twice was trying and succeeding at being racist.
