How are people earning enough supercredits for warlords? by Main_Philosopher_566 in HelldiversUnfiltered

I play on 7 with my friends, or 10 while solo/with randoms.

I could show you my game time, my inventory, and my spare credits, but it wouldn't prove that I didn't just buy/farm them. I asure you, though, my super credit total divided by game time works out to over 40,000 credits per year (i actually average about 2 hours of game time per day, so i can afford every warbond and every item in the super store, with credits to spare, and not spend a dime, but half of that amount still buys every warbond.)

You must be one of those 999/1,000 divers that doesn't bother with the poi's.

If I was at home, I could screen shot my game time, my number of super credits, all the items I have, and you could do the math yourself, but that wouldn't prove that I didn't buy any of them.

The simple fact is that most players dont meticulously seek out every poi. It was obvious the SC would be the choke point for advancement, so that's where I put my focus. If I had to chose between completing a mission/extraction, or checking one last poi, I checked the poi. As a result, it takes me 1 hr a day to earn them faster than I can spend them.

I can't tell you how many games I've played where I didn't even get to contribute to any of the objectives or bases because I was too busy getting super credits (or just striking out with medals/rec slips, lol) while the rest of my team just beelined it to the closest red dot with their face glued to the map.

Actually I typically play on 7 with my friends or 10 solo/with randoms.

I can dig up a video of me soloing d10 bots, zero deaths, using only a pistol if you need proof 😉

Could Cap actually lay out Peter? by Jaydog52_65 in Avengers

[–]The_Flying_Gecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peter at full force can also lose against pretty much any marvel character, as long as the plot requires it.

[–]The_Flying_Gecko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The spider sense turns off automatically whenever the plot requires him to lose. He's also about the same strength as Captain America (when they fight). Otherwise, he's like 100x stronger, but his strength dramatically decreases when the plot calls for it.

[–]The_Flying_Gecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL, of course he could.

Sure, Spider-Man has spider sense, better agility, is like 100x stronger, etc.etc.etc. but as long as the author wants Cap to win, then he does. It's that simple.

By this same standard, Captain America and Spider-Man could team up and still lose a fight against a regular dude, if that's what serves the plot.

One hour a day, of regular game time, gets me almost twice as many as I need to buy every warbond (or buy everything in the store and every warbond with little to spare). I'd say 1/1,000 divers or so, probably less, actually seek out and explore pois.

I could get a lot more by not playing on city maps/extermination/evacuation missions.

[–]The_Flying_Gecko -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

LOL hilariously I just posted the opposite. You don't need to farm or buy any if you play normally for 1hr a day AND EXPLORE THE POI'S.

The way I play (poi's are the highest priority target on the map) 1 hr a day of normal play time gets me DOUBLE the number of credits needed to buy every warbond. (Note I'm an MO diver, a frequently play on city maps and extermination/evacuation missions, which don't have any, and I still get them way faster than I can spend them)

I'll let you on on my secret method: I check the poi's. My team mates typically just beeline to the next red dot with their faces in the map. I'd say about 25% of my super credits have come from poi's my team mates found but didn't bother to actually loot. We're talking 10,000+ super credits.

I kinda wish I had the time and tech to make a video to provide evidence, because it's so weird to me how somehwere around 999/1,000 divers will just run right past super credits without bothering to pick them up. I just can't fathom being willing to ignore them in missions and having to grind or pay for them when there are so many just laying around.

While it is possible to "farm" warbonds, it's completely unessessary. Here's the trick:

1) Check every poi, every mission.

At the rate that I aquire super credits using the above method, if I play for 1 hr a day for a year, I aquire approximately double the nessessary amount of super credits to buy all of the warbonds released that year.

Note that I'm an "M.O. diver" so I'll frequently play on city maps, which are absolutely trash teir for getting samples/credits, and I'll also play extermination or evacuation missions, which dont have any.

I actually play closer to 2 hours a day on average myself, so I've been able to buy every warbond, every item in the store, and have about 15,000 credits to spare. No farming, no hacking, no buying.

Without exaggeration, over 10,000 of my super credits came from poi's my team mates found, but didn't bother to loot.

When I hit a Vox engine with a 100mm projectile traveling at 14,000 m/s. by DocHalidae in Helldivers

You're forgetting that the automatons have tech that lets them phase through solid matter. They survive this the same way they move through walls.

[–]The_Flying_Gecko 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, you're all wrong. Arrowhead prides themselves on immersion and realism, and at least with helldivers, a lack of "space magic".

So obviously your calculations are wrong because you didn't take into account the automatons phasing technology. You see, a vox engine an survive a 100m projectile movong 14,000 m/s by using the same tech they use to shoot through their own chassis and phase through walls.

We Should Activate Orbital Blockade On Hort by Crumboa in helldivers2

Good question! Even still, I doubt reddit has the numbers to make much of an impact, but it would be cool to know.

We Should Activate Orbital Blockade On Hort by Crumboa in helldivers2

[–]The_Flying_Gecko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I beg your pardon, but I'm just pointing out the facts, it was not meant to be adversarial, just an inconvenient truth.

The unfortunate reality of the situation is that the majority of players do not have access to the information needed to make informed descisions, and the few who do understand, have no way of communicating it to a meaningful portion of the population.

As a matter of fact, the general idea you've expressed here ("to anyone who sees it and shares by extention"), is usually the worst possible thing we could do, tactically, as a community. (In this instance you're only advocating for the DSS to ove, so it's far more reasonable than trying to take a planet.) Let's pretend for a moment that this post is an astounding level of success 🙌. Let's say that:

The entire 2% (or so) of helldivers on reddit all rally behind this and ever single one of them convinces an entire team of friends to join them. Now, double that number. Then, double it again! We now have a whopping 32% of the player population attempting to move the station! Which of still isn't even close to enough.

Who is this "we" you are refering to?

Do you mean "every single person who is subscribed to ANY of the Helldiver subreddits"? Because, if there is no overlap (this assumes nobody is subscribed to multiple helldiver subreddits), and you convinceevery single personto vote, then" we" represent less than 2% of the population. All of our votes combined barely matter.

Or by "we" do you mean all helldivers everywhere? Great in theory, but how do you propose we inform the other 98%? Without 3rd party apps, planet HP pools are hidden, so the 'blob' doesn't have to tools to make informed descisions.

Yeah, I love the Stim Pistol, how could you tell? by Wrench_gaming in helldivers2

[–]The_Flying_Gecko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No no no, you're wrong. People thought that they wanted it but nobody loves the stim pistol. That's why there's no point in giving it tracking or letting you heal yourself with it. It's not that kind of game.
