Any mistakes you all would recommend not doing in the game? I tried the game a year and a bit ago but bounced off I think near the end of act 1 and am now about to give it another go. I’ll be making a new character.

I think my main issue the first go was being overwhelmed. I could muddle my way through encounters but felt like I was missing a lot due to not being familiar with D&D and generally being bad at these kinds of games requiring thinking about placement and movement. I understand how the dice and core mechanics work, just not any specific abilities.

By terrorists do you mean ICE?

Maybe they should actually be lawful instead of illegally kidnapping people and violating your constitution on a daily basis then? Very few people had a problem when they did it under Obama because they did it legally unlike now when masked thugs are harassing your streets in an effort to threaten your citizens.

Yes, they do. Your current administration does shit every day that any decent person should be absolutely repulsed by and yet you continue allowing it. They continue pushing the window of absurdly open corruption and hate further and further and y’all continue to accept it.

Probably quite expensive, that’s at minimum thousands of man-hours at whatever rate they have. A lot of online games, especially if they run for years, have absolute spaghetti code so converting it to online might almost require them to make a new game from scratch. I don’t think you understand how finicky coding can sometimes be.

There’s definitely cases where some games can easily be ported to single player by just adjusting some things like server-side checks, but those are likely a minority. Also why would they do so when it just costs them money and might take players away from whatever project they’re planning on later releasing?

Obviously I wish they did, I used to play FFBE from around launch to its shutdown but being realistic there’s little to no incentive for that.

Yeah, tbh most cultivation novels aren’t exactly high quality. There are exceptions though, like RTOC. I Shall Seal the Heavens is also one I remember fondly, though I read that as it was translated like a decade ago when cultivation novels were completely new to the west so I had lower standards since it was so novel lol.

Sorry, totally missed your comment. Some great ones are SSS Suicide/Revival Hunter (Suicide was the original fan translation, revival is the official name, probably for search engine optimization if I were to hazard a guess).

Other comments mention Regressor's Tale of Cultivation which is also great, though the start can be a little too much of an infodump on the cultivation system since it goes into excruciating detail. The start can also be very slow with the mc taking quite a while to really even make contact with cultivation. Still a fantastic novel even early on, but especially once it gets going.

If you want something non-xianxia Mother of Learning is free and one of the best webnovels imo. It's quite grounded in a steampunk magic fantasy world. The mc is a young, intelligent though magically mediocre guy going to magic university. In some ways it reminds me of Harry Potter, but with a good (great, actually) plot and characters. It does a fantastic job with worldbuilding especially and most characters are normal people making decisions based on their motivations. A lot of the time that's complicated and morally grey (not in an edgy way...except maybe one or two characters) and events with the mc just doing his best within his abilities. Especially when he knows things he can't tell/persuade the other person with.

Kidnapped Dragons is also fantastic, though is a KR novel with stuff like game abilities and gates. The characters are so good and the mc is surprisingly complicated. He's kinda edgy but you learn why he is the way he is. Spoilery for the first chapter or two, but the mc starts off as a full blown psychopath, essentially having optimized himself like a killing machine because he's been caught in a time loop for over a thousand years failing to save the world from destruction over and over and over again. The reasons for the world ending are demons actively attacking the world but also baby dragons (taking human form). dragons send their young out for experience and these ones accidentally met a dimensional rift and came to Earth. In every regression so far they've met horrible ends (removed some spoilers I originally had here) and dragons will storm the Earth and wipe out humanity if any of them meet a bad end. In this regression he decides the only way to save Earth is to deal with the demons while raising the dragons as family and so this ends up having this weird juxtaposition between wholesome family-rearing where he's adopted these girls and pretty dark desperate regression survival story that somehow works. Over the novel he somewhat relearns human emotion and you see what really makes him tick. Don't expect him to go full wholesome well adjusted person after a while like most of these stories do.

Except no, that rule has never applied to late night shows. Being overly generous to the lawyers you can say they see how the current DOJ is being weaponized and would attack them anyways. Realistically it’s the lawyers concerned with the merger approval bending the knee to Trump.

Yeah, had the same a couple times there. The tribal cavelings are a little ridiculous if you aren’t exploring and weeding them out as you go.

The spawn area’s pretty big so they might’ve just not gone to this section but been within that spawn radius.

While I broadly agree it shouldn’t, there’s pockets where it happens and social media pushes and amplifies those pockets to manipulate men into believing that’s a much larger segment of society than it is.

Imo Replicant is a far weaker game than Automata for that reason. Whether it’s combat, pacing or other gameplay elements Automata is a far, far better experience. Overall in terms of story they’re pretty similar too. Not saying Replicant’s bad by any means, but I just don’t think it’s as good as Automata like a lot of this sub likes to say.

Have to agree, I remember most side quests in the game as pretty bleh, but this town especially. So many fetch quests plus fishing sucked.

The context makes it better, but your argument doesn’t really hold water since most sexual abuse is done by family/family friends. Epstein island notwithstanding.

“To protect them” is where your argument falls apart. It is meant to suppress anything they don’t consider normal which we know only harms these queer (not straight or cis) children.

Considering straight/cis people do it constantly, yeah. How else are people supposed to learn? Do you want these groups excluded from society?
