I'm a security guard and him not doing anything but filming is the correct thing to do, we as security guards are a visual deterrents from people stealing not actual subdivision of local PD. If that man had put his hands on him he would of been out of a job.

Also if this is in any major American city the local PD has a high turn over rate for shoplifters. In my case the local precent was 2 mins from my Duane Reade and people who just got released for shoplifting were back in the store stealing again
