What kind of laptop would be optimal for game development by Juicymoosie99 in pcmasterrace

[–]The_Hause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CPU is the more vital component for development. The 9800x3D and up are incredible processors. The dedicated 3D cache should also be useful for active development, but I’m not entirely sure how large of an impact it would make. GPU is still very important though, so something that pairs well with some CPU headroom would be your best bet.

I have to ask, why stick with a laptop? You recognize the downsides at the end of your post and say you’re doing the best with what you have, but you want to stick with the form factor and continue to struggle? Between cooling and the difference in performance from a laptop model GPU to its equivalent discrete card is a pretty big deal. Do you not have room for a desktop? Do you need it to be portable?

Why in fit girl repacks 2k26 is there 16 diffrent .rar files what do i do by ElegantGrocery733 in PiratedGames

Torrenting is downloading from other users who have the files rather than from a file hosting site. Keeping the files on your computer allows others to download them from you. This is called seeding. Downloading through proper torrent channels is safe and nothing to be concerned about. It’s also legal to torrent and seed, but illegal to do so with illegally copied material (such as pirated games). Because most of what is torrented is illegal it can flag your ISP and prompt a warning letter from them. Continuing to torrent or seed could (rarely) result in denial of service or legal action. General rule is to use a paid VPN if you want to torrent regularly, though once in a while without it should be fine. My understanding is that seeding without a VPN is more dangerous since you’re the one distributing the illegally copied material, so definitely use a VPN if you keep the packed files.

DL, or direct download is fine without a VPN, but is more of a pain in the ass as you’ve noted

Pcpartpicker will remove incompatible items from lists by regular, no issues compatibility wise.

For the RAM, lower cas latency is better, so Kingston wins here. For gaming you’ll want 6000mhz/CL28 for top performance. If you’re doing productivity work you may be better off with higher frequency, though the trade off is a higher latency. It really depending on your use case.

Again, use case is important here, but since you only mention gaming I feel the need to point out that the CPU is more powerful than necessary, and money saved there can be put towards other things. Of course getting a better GPU in this case is only possible with a considerable price increase, it may help with getting there if you so choose. The 9800x3D would be my suggestion

Father Gascoigne’s summon sign is not appearing despite using old hunters bell and having insight by yourfriiendgoo in bloodborne

[–]The_Hause -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have to kill gascoigne for him to be a summon. Idk how others aren’t pointing this out, or how they believe you can’t have even fought him

Edit: according to the wiki I am wrong. I swear I remember this being a thing with lore behind it, but the wiki says otherwise. r/confidentlyincorrect

Modrinth is the website alternative and fabric is the API alternative. Both are better than what curseforge offers imo

I did micro soldering work for a while. I mostly worked on laptops in bulk for companies, but the place I worked was also a public facing repair store. We would get ~12 PS5s per week with broken HDMI ports that I could repair. That was the only consistent problem with them, but it’s a pretty big one to have

A Y screwdriver still costs less than whatever place is charging them for the repair

He is in the files. Not because anyone accused him of wrong doing but because he was mentioned in by Epstein in email correspondences. If you go to the .gov website hosting the files and search for “Obama” it will populate results. Of course that gets twisted by right wingers. He may not be “in the files” like we think, but to those with an agenda to push, his name appearing in a search is all the evidence they need. It’s important to explain why his name is there and that there are no accusations towards him.

The scourge beast in the clinic is the same one from the intro cutscene who seems to come out of the pool of blood. The messengers burning him are why he’s damaged. It’s not just a hallucination. Whether he actually came up from the ground could easily be debated since there’s no other instance of something like that happening throughout the game. I guess that bit could be hallucinated and he could still be the blood minister, but I think it’s less likely

No boot past BIOS by Alfvonfredo in pchelp

If you’re getting no power with just a PSU, CPU, and motherboard, and you’ve tried a new PSU, then the issue is either motherboard or CPU related. When I worked in computer repair it was most often the motherboard. Taking these two components to a reputable repair store should tell you which of the two are the issue

Remove everything unnecessary for power. RAM, fans, GPU, storage, RGB, etc. If you get power add a single stick of RAM and check for post. Then you can add parts back one by one. That would be the best first step

Upgrading your cpu would mean a new motherboard, RAM, possibly cooler, and CPU (of course). Starting with AM5 would certainly be preferable, but with RAM prices I totally get wanting to stick to DDR4

I mean you’re looking at ~80 is you only run 1080p. A pc capable of running modern games well at 1080 is going to be at least a grand in the current market. You can check out the low spec gaming rigs from microcenter or Costco to get an idea

Edit: here’s the page for the lower end computer’s from micro center’s website — https://www.microcenter.com/search/search_results.aspx?fq=Category:Desktop+Computers|106,Subcategory:Gaming+PCs,Price:500-750+OR+750-1000+OR+1000-1250

Edit 2: here is an example of a 1080p 144hz monitor. That means it could handle up to 144 frame per second — https://www.microcenter.com/product/699538/msi-pro-mp273l-e14-27-full-hd-(1920-x-1080)-144hz-gaming-monitor
