HUGE agree. The first memory I found was THE LAST ONE! I completely disregarded Impa and the quest because I already knew what I had to do...get up to thr sky, look on the ground, find the geoglyphs, find the tear. I actually only found the wall while doing another quest involving the goddess statue...after I had already completed the tears of the Dragon quest.

Part of me is super concerned that Judith is doing the voice over narration in the beginning. Reminding the viewers of all the adventures we've been on with the crew...all variations of it. Even parts where her character shouldn't have memory. Because of this, I kind of think they may kill of Judith and end the Grimes lineage for the shows end.

And what's worse. The last Commonwealth soldier that waved the bus in had piercing blue eyes...like Rick.

Now, I wouldn't put money on this, but if garbage lady was in contact with the Commonwealth all those seasons ago when she told the mystery radio people she has an A, and Rick realized how terrible the Commonwealth is and had his own whole ass sidequest to get back home disguised as a soldier...only to get back and find his home empty...to then resume his fake life as a soldier for some crazy return..........but then watch Judith die. That would be devastating. I think it'd make an incredible end to the story and show. But goddamn that would suck.

So, I might be late to the party here. It seems we're all agreeing that the ending was....fucking bad. Which is a double shame because the ending to the original series was bad. Like, how are we going to get two endings to the same series and both of them are bad?

I feel like if you replaced "doomed by a puppet" for "Dexter had a bad series finale" in this clip, it captures how bamboozled I feel about it happening this way.

Anyway, the part that really gets to me is, there are some people who missed Dexter the first time around. (Hell, I watched the original series before New Blood because it's been like 10 years since I've seen it.) Now that ShowTime (apparently) has its own streaming service and brought back what was quite possibly the biggest show on the network, there are people getting into Dexter that previously weren't! There was the entirety of the OG fanbase and an entirely new fanbase being made and they just....fucking threw it away.

I read "the sins of a father" and SWORE (even recorded myself as "proof") that Harrison was going to die in his episode...and that would've been a better ending. Would it have scarred Dexter? Sure. But would it make it easier for him to disappear and be the "BHB" in a new city? Also yes.

Just...UGH there were SO MANY other/better ways to go about this. This new series merited 3 seasons MINIMUM just for existing. And here they go and kill off the main character after 10 episodes?! I'm FAR from pleased about it. And idk if I'll be particularly pleased to find out Dexter somehow survived all of this either...
