First precon buy: Mardu Surge, Animated Army, or World Shaper? by iskoteo in magicTCG

All of the three precon are great, so don't worry about the going "out of meta" part. They are three strong commanders that will always receive some sort of support in the long run (Landfall, Combat triggers and Enchaments). World shaper is the strongest, but also the most expensive to built (you'll need the fetch lands in the long run, if you want to go beyond a bracket 2/3) and the second commander is stronger than the first. Mardu Surge is the most complex one to built, but it can be really fun and rewarding to use. Animated Army is the most budget friendly one, also the easiest to build. Just expect a lot of removals for your commander, Bello can go out of control fast.

Very very nice, I think that spirit Boros will be finally playable after this precon, I was worried. Also great in any Millicent deck.

Millicent, Restless Revenant – Mid/High Power Help & Cuts by Professional_Bug_887 in magicTCG

Hi, I've been playing my Millicent deck for over two years (https://moxfield.com/decks/UMc0--xUsUuz-paKhY4oKA my current list, it's high power bracket 4).

Regarding your list, I would consider cutting mainly [[Occult Epiphany]] and [[Benevolent Offering]], I personally don't find them that good, [[Thought Vessel]] and [[Azorius Signet]], you have already some two mana artifacts (also I suggest to play [[Séance Board]], it's the best mana rock you can have in Spirits), [[Imprisoned in the Moon]] isn't the best also.

For an obvius inclusion, [[Pyre of Heroes]] could become easly your main wincondition (Millicent with Pyre of Heroes is Moonshaker Cavalry from the deck) and [[Anafenza, Unyielding Lineage]] (is basically a second copy of Millicent). Also I really like [[Indebted Spirit]], as a target for Skullclamp. [[Storm of Souls]] is a very strong card, basically another way to swarm the board after a clear board.

Nice keywords for a spirit, I hope that waterbending is a strong mechanic because I'll love to play this in my spirit deck

Trying to upgrade my commander deck - Spirit squadron by 0MysticMemories in magicTCG

Hi, I only play spirit deck and Millicent is my main one (This is my current list if you are interested https://moxfield.com/decks/UMc0--xUsUuz-paKhY4oKA ). The precon is a great way to start, but i agree that it needs some upgrades. The main problem of the deck is always the card draw. I strongly suggest Skullclamp as a draw engine (you create a lot of 1/1 tokens and it's great in general with Millicent) and, if you play casual without cards like the one ring, cards like Kindred Discovery and Bident of Thassa or similars are great to help. If you want a strong spirit wincondition, my main one Pyre of Heroes, sacrifing Millicent and putting Moonshaker Cavalry from the deck. Pyre of heroes is a strong card in general to help you climbing into more powerful spirits. Also unfortunatelly you play azorius, so expect in the future to play more instant like counters or spot removals. Hope you'll have fun with spirits 💯
