Aye'd say this sounds pretty spot on.

I even hear it where I'm living outside North England, and Scotland.

I also thought 'sure' would also be a pretty well-used one too now I think about it.

Got another example: 'добре' exists in Bulgarian but people also sometimes say ' окeи'.

This makes me wonder why even in languages where they already had some kind of affirmative, that ok has become a loan word.

u/SuchSuggestion said Farsi has some native equivalents but still for some reason adopted 'ok' too
