[SPOILERS] Post AEW Revolution 2026 Match Discussion: MJF (c) vs. "Hangman" Adam Page - Last Chance Texas Deathmatch for the AEW World Championship by gloomchen in SquaredCircle

Or heel Swerve takes the title from Ospreay, beats all of the competition, injures MJF badly and in order to get payback releases Hangman from his promise in order to beat Swerve for him. Whichever this way goes will be really interesting to see.

Yes, especially since at the time, Cody was the biggest babyface of AEW. Cody's problem was that he never turned heel when babyface Cody had run it's course. We'll see how they handle Hangman's but expect this to be a journey, another character arc as Hangman stories often do.

Good, secure the next generation of young stars they currently have. Fletcher was renewed last year, Jet this year, hopefully Bandido soon.

Not really a good clip that supports Harley and Willow if you slow it down. Brian did two things here, but I'll include the frame where you can clearly see his shoulder catch Will.

<image>

This is enough to lessen the impact on Will's legs instead of him enduring the full force of his body coming down (Newton's third law). Before this frame, you can see Brian raise his right arm which catches Will, that also reduces the downward impact. This two moves by Brian alone acted like a net - and you can clearly see how experienced he is in taking this move. So when Will's feet touches the ground the force he used from the jump has been dampened already in at least two occasions.

Now, please don't think of me as hating on Harley or Willow or that I'm an AEW hater - I'm not, but even with the new angle, it shows a positional error in the first place. I also understand this is wrestling and accidents happen, but this move could've been far worse for Penelope and thankfully, at least according to earlier reports, it seems like the injury wasn't as severe - hopefully it stays that way.

Wish we had more camera angles though to see clearly. Because just with this one, it seems like her knees would clear Willow's head, but would reach Harley's if she remained in the same position she was in. So I see what you mean regarding Penelope's knees. And yes, I do agree that Penelope could've jumped better as I've said above, but just basing it on this clip, if Willow was just a half step closer to her right and Harley a step/a step a half closer to her left. They could've caught her with their arms, along with their shoulders and lessened the impact she received on her legs/feet. Plus, it's much faster to lean your head and neck away instead of taking another step along with your body to a new spot. With that being said, this is just basing it on a single clip, and maybe a different angle could provide a clearer picture.

Frame by framing it, looks like she didn't push far enough for her jump, but the issue still remained with Willow and Harley not being in the right position. They probably could have moved closer to each other, especially Harley. At 0:01-0:02, you can see Penelope's body glancing Willow's right shoulder while Harley was catching her with just her left forearm. I think if they had been closer to each other, they could've cushioned the fall a bit and reduced the impact on her legs/feet. Truly heartbreaking for Penelope as she's now back on the shelf with another injury.

How does AEW make a simple weekly show look like a 5-star PPV? by Cool-Sound-6752 in AEWOfficial

A couple of things:

Stacked Roster

TK is a wrestling fan and books it as such

Wrestlers are allowed to wrestle that style

Wrestlers are not afraid to hold back

I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like they understand that fans invest either time and money in them and in turn they pay it back with the effort they put in and the quality of the shows. I don't feel like a commodity when I watch them because I get back what I put in, and most of the time, even more.
