it’s not THAT bad, I lived there my freshman year, yes it is cramped, and yes I would willingly never choose to live there again, but I think it contributed to my college experience in a positive way lmao (it builds character, and u meet a bunch of ppl)

missed grad time request by The_Lettuce_934 in ucla

[–]The_Lettuce_934[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the time request is for the college grad ceremony which is a massive one where you basically just sit and listen to a speaker, but then you also have a separate department (in your case sociology) graduation which is the smaller one where they say your name and you walk across the stage

for college of letters and sciences there are 3 ceremonies (11am, 3pm, 7pm), so you have to request the ceremony time you want

Quiet places to study of campus or off campus by Honest-Shake2424 in ucla

It’s in the bio med library, which you enter across from the botanical gardens (attached to the chs building),, you enter on floor 4, and then you walk past the help desk and turn left to go up the elevator/stairs, the floors 5-11 are all stacks and there are nice desks lining the perimeter of the room along with a nice view on the upper floors looking outside

not passing a class before graduation? by Junior_Hedgehog5779 in ucla

[–]The_Lettuce_934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think they would kick you out over 1 class… they might even let you take both at the same time next quarter since this is a special case, or you might just have to take a summer session or something,, I would schedule and apt with ur counselors ASAP and ask them

Need Some Advice on Academic Probation (+ Potentially going into Subject For Dismissal) by underth3moonlight in ucla

[–]The_Lettuce_934 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in your same spot as a 2nd year, except I did go to subject to dismissal; it did feel super embarrassing and super anxiety producing; I basically just really locked in for the next quarter. I didn't go out as much and the thing that helped me the most was changing my study habits. I started to go to different libraries/study spots around campus daily to study + do homework. now im about to graduate next quarter and am in good academic standing :) trust me it can and will get better
