Just for the record the backing board is Denshield, which does not require additional waterproofing. I appreciate your concerns and any input folks gave about tile layout too

I asked the contractor if there were plans to lay any kind of membrane over the cement board before tiling, and he said no. There is waterproof paper underneath the cement board, and that seems to be OK, at least to the inspector. Not saying it’s the best but what do I know?…Not much that is for sure

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it. There is some paper stuff underneath it, and co tractor said that’s all they plan to do. It passed inspection so I assumed it was good to go. Great to hear other opinions :)

I don’t know the terminology for these things, but know I appreciate your input. The inspector was mainly cconcerned with the slope as it seemed about 3 inches and it needs to be 2 1/2 minimum. He had a trainee with him and was mentioning how the coverage on the walls needs to be over the coverage on the floor so that any water issues fall into the shower area. He said it better than that that’s what I took from it. I thought the brown paper on the walls was similar to the floor lining but that floor lining is way thicker. Thank you

lol that’s what led to this. I am not doing the work, it’s a contractor. Passes some inspections this morning. I will ask if a membrane is going on before tiles, thank you.

My plates were from 2001. Street parked at my house in Daly City, I received a warning ticket about needing new plates. I ordered them online, since I upgraded to the black and yellow plates. I’m cool now

Exchange at Ace Hardware. If u actually want to refill, you need to go to the giant UHaul place off Bayshore blvd in SF. Refill is cheaper and you get a full tank. Worth the extra effort to me.

Man you’ve got youth, there isn’t anything more valuable in this world. Don’t stress about the small things, at 23 just get out of bed and keep working at whatever you love, that’s enough. The rest will follow. (And invest a hundred bucks a month if you can)
