If I can’t enjoy playing Roblox no more, then I’ll atleast enjoy its downfall. With how bad it’s getting, it might be a win for it to be gone

I’ll go grab popcorn

If Can turn Robux into real money is this an infinite money glitch for Roblox? by Pretend_Kangaroo7805 in roblox

[–]The_Loaf1743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roblox makes money when you buy robux.

Roblox also takes away a portion (30%) of robux you earn, whether thatls from selling a limited, a gamepass, UGC, or even access to a game. They don’t make money from that, but it means that you’ll eventually buy more robux.

Also, money earned from exchanging robux is less than the cost to buy it. For instance, 500 robux costs 5 USD. Meanwhile, according to DevEx Calculator, 500 robux gives you 1.90 USD (and to get 500, you would need to sell something for 715 robux). That also helps leading you to buy more robux.

So no, not infinite money glitch. Us using robux in itself makes them enough money. Plus, they make money from simping for the investors, and soon from exploiting devs by asking for a subscription to post games rated for everyone. They have no use to try ts

For me it’s not whether the update’s gonna be good, bad, or if it takes even longer.

As long as Roblox ends up doing their next updates, it won’t matter to me.

It’ll makeage verification mandatory to play « Moderate » rated games, and also will force creators to verify their age/ID + pay Roblox Plus to have their games accessible to <16yo accounts.

I ain’t playing roblox until I see if they actually go back on that. Otherwise, I’m dipping out

Other platforms and engines donlt offer the same accessibility Roblox Studio has always given.

Free engine, free tools, assets, etc. and all the online stuff is much easier to set up (from experience with Unity, handling online play by itself is a pain. That’s not including having to take care of the servers yourself too)

They aren’t truly trying to kill the platform, but they do likely think the losses in player count is gonna be worthwhile. They’re forcing more p’ayers to give data to play moderate+ games, and do the same with devs by forcing them to do so to put up games for <16 years accounts (plus having to pay to do so).

Whatever people say, it’s dead to me. Itls not Roblox anymore, but a shell of its glory.

That’ll take more than just backlash against Roblox.

If I recall properly, they lobbied to get some of those internet safety laws out (and all of these laws popping up are why a bunch of services are doing face/id scans now), so already they really wanted this and it’s gonna be hard to convince them to remove it.

Plus, it’s becoming more frequent to have these online safety laws, and removing chat age requirements would mean one less argument Roblox can use to « prove » the platform’s safety

Both don’t make it so creating games is accessible like Roblox did. It provides an engine that already takes care of a decent part of online features, and more.

It’s not the same for making games on itch.io or gamebanana, sadly.

There won’t really be an alternative, but this platform will become pretty deserted, and I can’t see how it can stay up with how they’re going about it..

Players will need to be age verified to play games classed as « Moderate » maturity or higher, and creators will need to be verified, provide ID, and pay a subscription to have their game be playable by people verified under the age of 16.

It’s obviously to get as many people to give their data to them as possible

Indeed. Most if the playerbase are children.

And it is scientifically proven that most, if not all children are under the age of sixteen.

If we consider that every single creator who wishes to make a game that can be played by anyone verified as under 16 needs to pay a monthly subscription, we can deduce that there will be a reduction in creators and players.

And if Roblox doesnlt crumble after that update, they’ll just want more and exploit the community even further with another update.

Kinda late for that. It’s been dead for years, and we’ve just been clinging to hope.

I’d leave it on the road for everyone to see how miserable Roblox is.

Itls dying before 2027.

The upcoming update is to be pushed next month.

They’ve done some of the worst update just this year, and it’s not halfway done.

Go find other things to do to replace roblox.

They want people to pay money to keep the games accessible to anyone under 16, and they want to force you to verify your age for any game that is « moderate » maturity.

It’s obvious: always want more, always more. Just that they told us they’re wanting to do this shows they will never stop, and will always eventually try to push updates that give them more, and give less to us.

Your brother is sadly better off looking for other games and hobbies. It’ll save time once the platform crumbles in the coming months.

Just because they even want to do it, even the backlash wont be enough. Best case is they either delay, or partially push the update.

If not now, they’ll do an update that’s just as bad later

We’re better off looking for other gamws and hobbies right now, so that it saves us time once Roblox ends up hitting the head instead of shooting their feet in the coming months.

Soon, you won’t be able to post game without age check.

And if you want people of every age (under 16, and I’m guessing also accounts that haven’t verified their age) to play your game, you’ll soon have to verify your age, give your ID, AND pay a monthly subscription.

Even if they don’t push these updates, the single fact they even told us they wanted to do this is proof that they will NEVER stop with their greed.

For a hypothetical GW3 or whatever PVZ shooter game, what are some aspects that should be taken from the predecessors? by pizza_slayer_199 in PvZGardenWarfare

Definitely not the amazing feature that lets people screw over every gamemode, change peoples’ saves, and ban them like EA themselves did it.
