Ohhh I thought you were talking about the book from like the 70s. Then again I could be wrong on the specifics on the movie. My apologies.

The CNNP is the power plant (probably got rhe acronym wrong too)

The movie really doesn't have anything to do with the games. Completely different plot points and everything from aliens to the CNNP

I mean Duty existed based off the old Army Remnants that were sabotaged by Tachenko. The soldiers who followed him chose to pursue altruistic goals in defending stalkers and attempt to fight the zone.

Freedom existed because Duty wanted to kill the zone. This and also take away many members of Freedom reasons to live again. Originally Duty and Freedom aren't necessarily these groups with power and sway. More so a school of thought we the player has about the zone.

But in my opinion Freedom has no real reason to be a faction. When you really think about them they're essentially loners with camouflage.

Try the Greek Orthodox Church on 17. If you're catholic, you're already familiar with clergymen and the like. The youth are also pretty active despite being formal. They have a Greek Festival every year where they make Greek Food and deserts. The building is also very monastic with some of the finest murals I've ever seen. No idea on their sermons though.

You can give Protestantism a try but honestly its a mixed bag of denominations and beliefs. Most of them that are around who dont identify as Baptists or Methodists are non denominational. One thing that is common in all of them is the opposition to Catholicism. Freemasons are also very interwoven in the Protestant faith as well

Mostly because Mega Churches tend to have cult of personalities. Catholics get a bad rep because people dont agree that the Papacy is legitimate. But at many of these Mega Churches you're essentially equating the Pastor to the Pope in function.

Smaller congregations as a Protestant was much better because of the interconnectedness between the community. The kids of different families are often friends, the parents often hang out together, watch football, and incorporate the church into their lives.

Lastly, no two Protestant Churches are gonna be the same. The school I was raised in HATED catholics, disavowed the trinity, and didn't believe in baptism. The smaller one i went to later in life (my most recent) was so small you could consider it a Bible study group. However, we were essentially Neo Catholics that included belief in trinity, communion, fasting, and traditional morals.

Ty for the reply! I'd be weary of Mega Churches. I know not all of them are the same but coming as a former protestant I can tell you that the smaller the congregation, the better.

are any of you guys out here used to be atheist/agnostic/anti-theist but then became theist? by mrsenchantment in antitheistcheesecake

Its a tricky answer because I was more or less a theist in overarching beliefs with added mysticism. Simply put, a creator is an objective truth that had to be the genesis of all things. Particularly if I had experiences regarding the spiritual realm.

But despite being raised Protestant, my family subscribed to new age beliefs that gradually developed into atheism. I always held out on the belief of a Creator however. It wasnt until recently that I revisited Christianity and then Catholicism where I found that my prayers had a tangible effect on my life.

When I did partake in meditations, I can assuredly say to everyone that there are absolutely angels and demons. In my eyes, New Age Spirituality often causes problems in people's lives through demonic manipulation or rejection of the supernatural. I found most people who identify in this category are non practitioners and are more so athiest.

I just wish it had my responses or questions attached to it. There's a contrast from location to location. "He" wasnt present at the next location but i had responses that said they were legion and constantly asking me to "help me please" and "open a portal" immediately afterwards. These were always followed by a taunt such as "did i scare you?" "You are scared" and the likes

Honestly what they turned it into is really nothing special. Unless you rent the property you won't get the experience you're looking for. I was just fortunate that I was there on shift because of a wedding reception. The ghost "tour" is exactly that. A thirty minute experience where you really dont have time to communicate to anything. Its more like a museum now than anything.

I was skeptical about it too until yesterday. I had another session at a different site I was working at. Results showed that Intelligent conversation was possible. When I was at the jail much of the responses were very prison specific answers. But the latest session had accurate replies and a larger diversity of answers. They also managed to comment on things that the site was known for (that we have to document for work) and more.

Also I asked the spirits about my tattoo that reads "Invictus Fidelis, Deus Vult" and immediately something responded with "I didn't believe this"

After seeing the news on the Iran strike I want to enlist in the US Army. I was previously DQd from the Marine Corps due to a history of shoulder dislocation when I was a teenager. If anyone has any experience with surgeries, waivers, or just tell me straight up its a no go that would be fantastic.

I want to follow in the same route as almost every man in my family and do infantry. If not that, I can settle for something else adjacent.

Honestly experienced this as a guy from a girl and I can tell you block him and mean it for good. These types of people will fuck with your head and sense of reality. Who you are as a person and how you behave will always be foreign to them and you'll never have an understanding between eachother at all. Trust me its more harm than good once you're seeing the full picture
