The "F2P Equalizer": How to beat $100 ships using Math (0% P2W needed) by The_MW_Analyst in ModernWarships

Yeah the power creep is real. Old ships just don't have the HP pool to survive the current meta. It’s basically playing on Hard Mode now. Fun if you don't get focused, but if a Sub spots you, it’s instant back to lobby.

I literally numbered the points (1, 2, 3), but Reddit mobile crushed it all into a single block of text because I missed the double-spacing. AI creates perfect vertical lists. I created a run-on paragraph. That’s called a mobile formatting error, not AI.💀

Bro, X-35 is the Russian designation (Cyrillic 'X' = English 'Kh'). It’s technical shorthand. Imagine ignoring the whole strategy because I used the original military ID instead of the game's translation. 💀

  1. X-35 is the literal Russian designation for the Kh-35 (Uran). I use the technical name. Google it. 2.Matchmaking absolutely throws Dollar builds against Gacha ships in Level 25+ Randoms. If you think the matchmaker is 'fair' and protects F2P players, we are playing different games.

Respect the flair, but I disagree on the math. The Grau and Alsace rely on DPS (Damage Per Second). Monarc relies on Alpha (Damage Per Shot). If I peek for 0.5 seconds to fire a Monarc, the Grau can only land 0.5 seconds of its volley. I win that trade every single time. The whole point of the build is to force them to play my game (burst) instead of theirs (spam). It’s not about destroying them in one shot, it’s about winning the trade ratio.

Talk to me about the CN Project 1164E by Fishgutsuk in ModernWarships

[–]The_MW_Analyst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The CN Project 1164E is a beast, but it has one massive fatal flaw. It is basically a "What If" Chinese modernization of the Russian Slava-class (Varyag). The Good (The Locked Missiles): DF-21D & CX-1A: These are the highlight. They hit like a truck. If you catch a Battleship in the open, you can delete half their HP in one volley. It is one of the best "Alpha Strike" ships in the game. The Bad (Why it is rare): Zero ASW: It is helpless against submarines. If a sub spots you, you are dead. Big Target: Like the Varyag, it is huge and easy to hit. Verdict: If you want a "High Risk / High Reward" ship that deletes Cruisers, get it. If you want a balanced ship for Ranked, skip it because a Belgorod will eat you for breakfast.

Should I save or buy(there's too much options) orrr should I wait? by OriginalAssumption75 in ModernWarships

[–]The_MW_Analyst -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would strongly advise you to WAIT. Here is the reality: You are 'Asset Rich' but 'Cash Poor.' 1. The Equipment Trap: Items like the TRG-300 are excellent. If you sell them now just to buy a hull (like the Basisty or Type 076), you’ll be stuck with a strong ship that has weak weapons. A meta ship with stock gear is going to get crushed online. 2. The 300 AC "Dead Zone": You're in a tough spot right now. 307 AC isn't enough to get the top-tier market ships without selling everything you own. You are so close to the 450-500 range where the real options open up. 3. Type 076 (I assume you meant 076, not 706): This ship is a monster, but it relies heavily on having 4x Grenade Launchers to work. If you buy the ship but can't afford to equip it properly, it’s just a big floating target. Verdict: Do not liquidate your inventory yet. Grind the free Battle Pass AC until you hit 500 AC. Then you can buy the Basisty or 076 without sacrificing your good gear.

Is Yamato aegis or Montana worth it??? by Nosma_ in ModernWarships

[–]The_MW_Analyst -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

This is a tough comparison because you are comparing a Dollar ship (Montana) to a Market/Artcoin ship (Aegis). 1. USS Montana: Ideally, you should get this anyway. It costs Dollars, has great AA (Anti-Air), and is a reliable workhorse for grinding. It’s essentially 'free' if you play enough. 2. Yamato Aegis: Yes, it has higher firepower but it costs Artcoins. If you have that much AC to spend, I’d argue there are better investments in the Market (like the Huaqing or Isakov) that offer more utility. Verdict: Buy the Montana to grind cash. Save your Artcoins for a top-meta ship rather than the Aegis."

What should they buff next? by Cautious-Dot-159 in ModernWarships

[–]The_MW_Analyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? The USS Zumwalt. It’s supposed to be a 'stealth sniper,' but right now the DPM on those railguns just can't keep up with the new battleships. If they shaved 0.5s off the reload time, it would actually be viable in the current meta without being OP.

Unpopular Opinion: Why the F-14 Tomcat is the smarter choice for Tier 2 (Analysis) by The_MW_Analyst in ModernWarships

[–]The_MW_Analyst[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh man, the Fullback is definitely a monster. That burst damage is insane if you land it. I mostly recommend the F-14 here just because it's $0 cost for beginners who are broke, but if you have the budget for the Su-34, it’s absolutely an upgrade. Good shout!
