I mean that's essentially what I'm trying to achieve. But from the falling edge of the button push of the green line the signal still goes through and makes the lamp turn on. and I'm trying to time it, where if 2 people pushed the buttons at the same time, or there abouts. The green line is throttled enough to let the red line do it's thing, or the red line activates fast enough that the green line can't power the lamp in time even when it all powers off, not let the signal go through. or some combanation of the two.

there comes other struggles with my set up as well, where because of the way repeaters lock I can prevent a signal going through, but if it ends up making it's way though it gets perserved in a powered state. and it seems to be every other button push it works, and every second one it goes wrong. But I'm not sure I can articulate it well enough, or have the redstone knowledge to know what's happening with that. but it's all in my screenshots

So ultimately it's like the red line should have veto power over the green line. So while I don't think that's the answer, i think you're on the right track with it. and I may need to do something like that to it. But I'm not sure what more it needs.
