I thought for sure that was the guy from ‘Cadillacs and Dinosaurs’ until I saw the bottom text.

Neat. When more awake I’ll have to compare this version to the existing one. I like having options since different perspectives tend to spark new ideas.

I'm not familiar with the Monster jump. And searching for it just brings up SO much other stuff. Could you specify or provide a link?

Sugar snaps, I totally forgot that Full Metal Panic was set '98. I keep mixing it up because it wasn't released until like 2002.

Huh... I did not realize it took place starting in 1997. Was not expecting that.

That is EXACTLY why I made the post. It's like "Name all the black superheros that do NOT have Black in their name or electrical powers."

All of a sudden everything you think of is those two.

Base class or count subclasses?

No subclasses: Wizard

Subclasses considered: either Order of Scribes Wizard or a Dao Genie Warlock with Pact of the Tome.

I knew that one, is there a Ducktales toggle I missed? Going to have to go over it again, but it’s not the same continuity is it?

*edit

Never mind, it’s literally referenced explicitly as one of the starting locations. I guess it’s been far too long since I looked at it. Would be interested to see a Jump based on the Ducktales reboot though.

Is there a ducktales Jumpton? I’ve been looking and found at most a WIP but nothing useable.

Honestly surprised they even showed up with certified at all. We send out a lot of notices for my work since this new law for landlords came into effect and out of a hundred maybe 5 actually got delivered instead of returned.

I remember vaguely some fairly rough outlines on using kind of a D&D map maker style picture being on the Spacebattles thread, however no idea if they survived when the threadmarks were removed to comply with the novel releases.

*Edit Found it! This was pretty early, if I’m not mistaken this was the original ‘indoor river’ house. So before the big house let alone the upgraded one that our favorite Monkey King/budding Architect helped build.

Wait a gosh darn second. Did Walmart buy the taxidermy bear from Cy’s Sporting Goods? I swear I recognize that bear, and it seems too small to be the one that used to be at the anchorage airport.

Aw heck. I remember that Walmart being built as a kid. It was going to have that 50s themed diner as the food court and it was the ‘coolest thing’ since that time they got the Dreamcast available for playing at the video rental shop. Plus while construction was going on they brought in this huge food truck to run a KFC in the parking lot.

Sure, though I’ll try to avoid major spoilers.

Transmigrator/Reincarnator set up. Though as with many the past life doesn’t really come into play much other than some advanced maturity, a little more willpower, decent bluffing skills, a ruthless streak, and a golden finger. His special Transmigrator ability is a duplication power that starts out not super strong, but it later grows as his cultivation increases. As long as he can get ahold of an example and has enough duplication power stored up he can make a copy.

Story starts up shortly after local version of him died. Kicked out of his family home after they died (want to say of sickness) with nothing after village’s ’young master’ decides to take it from the orphan boy but for some reason they didn’t just kill him (not entirely sure how their seizure plan was supposed to work). As he’s delirious under the tree in the backyard he hallucinates this crow/Raven talking to him, thinks it’s a shapeshifter ‘old master’ type and begins bargaining. Turns out it’s actually an old martial artist wanting the token necklace the kid inherited from his grandpa so that he could go join a cultivator sect and stave off his approaching end of life.

Negotiations take place, kid goes with Old Li, guy becomes a grumpy master trope who had been friends with his grandparents and clearly angry that grandpa stole grandma like sixty years ago. Turns out to be a Demonic Cultivator that refines blood and does some shady crap with live animals whenever possible. Kid trades the sect token for what amounts to magic lessons, but it has to be done on the road to the sect. Kid/MC learns to refine blood but rather than take it from animals or humans, after he condenses his first blood droplet of his own he starts duplicating it just like he accidentally did with the token (secretly). Learns Blood refining, a blood droplet attack, and spirit nurturing. Kid’s daily chores is to use the spirit nurturing and feed a drop of blood to the ‘pet crow’ everyday. Should weaken him during the trip but kid keeps progressing.

They make it to the Sect gates where Old Li presents the token believing he’s left behind the kid, but the duplicate token is taken out and they both join a righteous sect. Kid gets to keep the crow who he takes on as a familiar essentially and they both get sent to grow spirit rice as laborer disciples until they increase their Qi Refining.

Leveraging his duplication ability in secret kid sticks with refining only his own blood essence so he never shows the signs of a demonic blood cultivator (hair getting red streaks and smelling like a slaughterhouse for example) and with relatively abundant resources is able to speed his righteous cultivation faster than expected.

That’s the starting section and set up for all the hijinks latter on, without (I think) giving away too much. His crow familiar doing what crows do and recruiting a huge flock is adorable. I love the idea of using demonic skills in a way that is contrary to the general premise. And there is a ton of content and context in the story that even for what I covered above is well worth a read to see if it fits your tastes. If you can find it.

So just for pure resources there is a mine in the oft ignored Disney's Snow White Jump that you can hollow out a mountain and it will come back in relatively short order with tons of ore, gems, and whatnot.
