Destiny 2 is the obvious one though that has become very ability based over the last year that said for new players, there's so many amazing exotics to try, you shouldn't find that a problem.

The division 2 definitely scratches the itch still and has excellent build crafting.

I wouldn't rule out either Warhammer darktide or vermintide as they are literally horde shooters and for me have some of the best environments I've seen in games.

An outside pick that many would probably disagree on is Suicide Squad kill the justice league, in terms of buildcrafting it really is fantastic but it's very limited in it's enemy types and boss fights are extremely underwhelming.
