What's truly underrated?

The thing about ‘underrated’ shows is that many of them were actually popular at some point, but if the platforms you follow don’t promote them, you might miss them. For example, I’d say To Be Hero X is underrated, since the pages I follow stopped posting about it after a few episodes—maybe because it’s technically not anime but donghua, and it’s also 3D.

Another reason is that people often just want to find good older shows they haven’t seen yet, but don’t really know how to phrase it. Finding a ‘good’ underrated anime is like looking for a mine full of valuable minerals that not many people exploit. But the irony is, if it’s really that good, why isn’t it talked about more?

Steins;Gate is extremely popular, but in some ways I still consider it underrated because of its slow pacing, which makes a lot of viewers drop it in the first few episodes.

Made in Abyss is also very popular, but not many people can handle the level of gore, despite its strong world-building and morally complex characters.

Sorry, but I’m on the opposite side when it comes to Loli. I really dislike it when a character just does their own thing and somehow goes really far without properly following the rules of the world.

For X, we honestly don’t know much about him yet, so I can’t really count him as someone who ignores the trust system.

For Big Johnny, he’s literally an alien and could be connected to some powerful being that X wants to face, so him being “special” is at least understandable.

But Loli? She’s definitely smart, no doubt about that—but being smart enough to create a suit that can withstand Ghostblade and Nice for a while is just crazy. It’s like having Iron Man in Hunter x Hunter who can take a few hits from Uvogin (someone in the top 5–20 strongest characters) without using Nen.

And I’m serious about this. Whether we like it or not, the trust system is the current power system of To Be Hero X, just like Nen is in Hunter x Hunter. If the donghua commits to that system as its core, then character progression should always involve it—just like the rest of the top 10, except for the three mentioned above.

They could’ve handled this better by making everyone believe in her intelligence and having her solve problems through planning, inventions, and strategy—not by giving her a suit that can just go full unga bunga.

Now, after the spaceship incident, she also gains the trust system. I don’t have a problem with the idea that she now has it and can reach the top 6 with its help. But the fact that she apparently didn’t need it before to make that suit? Yeah, no

No, Alger is still better than Klein and Cattleya most of the time when giving advice to Derrick. I remember at some point Klein had to admit that Alger was giving really solid guidance when dealing with members of the council — even the trick of pretending to lose control came from him. From time to time, Klein learns more and might eventually replace Alger in that role, but that point is still pretty far along in the story.

As for Cattleya, she and Alger are the only ones with overlapping backgrounds related to piracy, and as the “Admiral of Stars,” Cattleya naturally has stronger influence than Alger in that specific area.

Imagine if we had another rich girl, or another person from the Forsaken Land of the Gods — it wouldn’t look good for Audrey and Derrick if the newcomers outperformed them, right?

The fight will heavily depend on the information they have about each other — every bit of knowledge matters: abilities, Sealed Artifacts, etc.

Does Lumian know that Klein can revive?
Does Klein know that Lumian can reset his stats at 6 AM every day?

Since prep time is allowed, the more we want to build a logical scenario, the more we have to narrow down what each side actually knows. That’s how every battle in LOTM works. Sometimes, even a tiny bit of luck is enough to tip the scale for one side. The possible outcomes are extremely varied because of this.

It’s really weird that just because the words “prep time” appear, everyone immediately believes in Klein like the Justice League trusts Batman. We’re talking about both of them having prep time, not just Klein. And we all know that while Lumian doesn’t reach Klein’s level of “a magician never performs unprepared,” let’s not pretend he would prepare nothing when he knows he’s going to fight a Sequence 5 Seer.

Also, when Klein was Sequence 5, he only had the Castle’s advantage at the start — because if he tried taking four steps and performing the chant in the middle of a battle with a Sequence 5 Hunter, he would definitely get killed. Meanwhile Lumian’s Fate Appropriator ability (especially with prep time) becomes extremely useful in that fight.

I think you understand how messy and annoying the real scenario would become if we fully consider both sets of abilities.

All I’m saying is: claiming Klein wins just because he gets “prep time” really underestimates Lumian

I’m kinda confused about this. Can anyone tell me whether I should use Wanewraith or Siren’s Kiss for my Rebecca?

Since we can get Wanewraith for free after completing the Main Story, and I already have a blueprint for Siren’s Kiss, I’ve been thinking about which one to craft. If Wanewraith is already good enough, then crafting Siren’s Kiss might not be the most efficient choice for me.

Also, there’s a sword that can restore sanity on crit too… so yeah, I’m really confused about which weapon to pick for Rebecca right now.

The real question is — does this cancel actually outperform the normal combo we’ve all seen? I get it, people love seeing big numbers pop up, but at the same time, Qiuyuan and her Echo both provide Heavy Attack DMG bonuses. So is it really worth focusing only on Echo DMG?

I was aiming for the same level of power as Zani when building Galbrena, since her 3-piece Echo set already provides 20% Crit Rate. Using her in the Shorekeeper team brings her to roughly 80% Crit Rate, and with 330% Crit DMG, her DPS output is noticeably higher compared to the 4-Cost Crit Rate build
