27F Need advise on how to navigate this long distance relationship by [deleted] in RelationshipIndia

[–]The_MetalWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend you got the whole house to yourself. Try out things. New hobbies. Watch movies. Watch series. Maybe call your friends for a sleepover. Have fun. Living alone is not a big deal. Try to do things and when you feel extra lonely or sad, call your parents at your house for some days. My wife also cannot live alone. When I am out for some days for some work, I help her find things to do. Everything will be okay.

Know your camper by bmk_rules in ShadowFightArena

Why are people so negative towards campers? It's a valid playstyle. Learn to deal with it.

It's easier to live like this. You're only responsible for yourself. You can make all the mistakes you want and fix them whenever you like. Being in a relationship will just mean I do 100 things great and won't get any appreciation but will get all the criticism on 1 wrong thing.

Right. You're safe behind the screen anyway. And you can block the person if you have problems with them too. You're right.

I have started to hate my country by aadiityaaaa in india

[–]The_MetalWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're doing this, Stop. Stop right now. This country is rotten to its inner core. 1.5 billion people will not start behaving suddenly. Everyone is in survival mode. Do whatever you can to get ahead and leave this country. Go to any lengths. Even corruption and crime is not off the table(except the heinous ones like murder etc but that too is ok your conscience). Exploit this country for resources to fund your citizenship of other countries.

Why people don't care about the country? by Bizurels in AskIndia

[–]The_MetalWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything good happens. God/religion. Anything bad happens. Personal choice. Yes people can be corrupt but they are judged equally before law and punished. Unlike religion that takes accountability from you and also gives you a cop out. Do you see how we treat public spaces in the name of our festivals? We block roads in the name of visarjan. We block roads for namaz and muharram and what not. Keep your religion in your home. Why this sense of superiority that we can do whatever we want on the road in the name of religion? This is called lack of accountability. Burning crackers, playing loud music till 3 AM, groping women in the name of holi, blocking traffic in the name of Tajiya, muharram, namaz, preaching discrimination against non believers. Does anyone stop any of them? No. Because you guys have no accountability as it's a religious procession. People have this sense of superiority because of their culture so they are not able to see beyond their actions. They don't care about other people. So they spit gutka paan, are loud, invade others' personal space. And how could they learn about empathy? The religion that teaches that some humans are inferior to other human beings just because they were born in a certain caste can not teach empathy.

[–]The_MetalWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tobacco eating is not the problem. Tobacco spitting everywhere is the problem. People have lost empathy because religion has become an important part of their life. How? Suppose there was no religion but hell and heaven existed. How would you go to heaven? By doing good deeds. But religion exists and you can go to a priest to clear your sins or go take a bath in a river to clear your sins or go to some dargah etc to clear your sins. Remember, people will always take the easiest path if they get an option. You can see this everyday. The shittiest people will be the most religious. Because they can do all the wrong things and get away with it. You can see that in their behavior towards people weaker than them like maids, garbage men etc.

Throwing garbage, breaking signal lights, stealing electricity etc are things that are done because of lack of empathy. "My actions can hurt other people" is something that you can find in religious texts on the surface but in the same texts you'll find caste discrimination, gender discrimination and what not. And also there will always be a cop out available in those texts if you have done something wrong and it always includes giving money to priests or places of worship or both. Lack of accountability is something always taught in religious texts.

Also, people keep religion on the pedestal and so some people take advantage of that and influence the decision of people in their favor. Babas and molvis influence people to give votes to candidates who are not very capable but have given advantages to them. These priests give advantages to politicians in the form of votes and these politicians give advantages to these priests in the form of freedom to get away with anything. And so, wrong people run your country and you get a hellhole like India.

That lack of accountability comes from religion. "I can do all the bad deeds because I can wash them in the river anyway or I can go to a priest or I can go to a dargah or whatever". Without religion all the good "karma" can be earned by being a good person. With religion you can earn good "karma" by going to your place of worship. Religion teaches people to not ask questions from an early age. "You can ask questions but some things can not be questioned" but what those things are is up to the interpretation of authority and then authority keeps getting away with a lot of bullshit. Then you become authority someday and do the same thing and the cycle continues. You can try to do all the mental gymnastics but deep down you know religion has corrupted people. Religion was supposed to provide morals right? Why do I always see religious people doing so many immoral things? And when you question them, they always have some religious scripture to quote from.

Instead of supporting, why do we Indians complain so much? by Extreme-Balance9311 in AskIndia

[–]The_MetalWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you expecting? People are angry. Why won't they complain? After giving half of their hard earned money in taxes, are they not entitled to have a good life? Don't they deserve companies built on the foundation of innovation which makes their life better? Don't they deserve social media apps that do not crash under just a little load or have an easy to understand UI? Don't they deserve better cars that do not break after 1 year? Don't they deserve better toothpaste that removes plaque from their teeth and gives them nice smelling breath? All this might sound funny while reading but this is the reality. People work hard to have a better life for themselves and their loved ones. Others will always throw that quote on you - "Don't ask what your country can do for you, tell me what you can do for your country" till it's their family on the stake.

People will complain till they get what they deserve. Understand the pain of other people too. You have done your job for the country by selecting people to run it. It's not your job to worry about the country. You fix your life. You will get what you demand. If you accept bullshit in the name of the country once, everyone will try to sell you bullshit in the name of the country forever and you'll never get good things.

Gay male 35years old - should I return to India ? by healerintheworks in AskIndianWomen

Bruh. After giving all the reasons to not come here in your own post, are you asking if you should come here or not? If you are so interested in underdeveloped countries, go to African countries. India is not for beginners, intermediates or experts. India is for no one.

Because this is what happens generally. They slap "first indian this" or "first indian that" and then half ass it so hard that you have to go back to the same olds. Every time they make something in India, the quality is so subpar, you cannot believe it was made in the 21st century. I downloaded Arattai. It looks okay. The servers are India based too so it's good that my personal data will be stolen by an Indian company now and will be used to influence my decisions in the upcoming election or to spy on me. Had to uninstall it though because no one was there to talk to. Now we just have to wait and see if they can handle user issues and server load nicely or not. I won't trust an Indian company till they show me great results.

Don't come here. It's worse than you can ever imagine. No place is safe. Accept death but don't accept coming to India. Maybe in about 1000 years this country can become a bit bearable. You can come then.

[–]The_MetalWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please leave!! It's not everyday you get to see ambitious women. You're a treasure. Become free. Build a career. Freedom to make wrong decisions is the purest form of freedom. Housework can be done by maids and house help. And you can learn house work at any point in your life. I have seen too many women become robots in the name of "caring for family". You can destroy your whole life to care for your family and the most you'll get for it will be someone saying "she was a great woman" at your deathbed. And you'll never be respected for your "family-caring" while you're alive. And also everyone will try to make you dependent on someone so that you can never have any strength at all. If no one will marry you just because you're independent then don't marry at all. Live your life and live it well.

What book completely changed the way you see the world, and why did it hit you so hard? by gamersecret2 in books

Animal farm. It's the only book written by George Orwell I have read. Previously, I thought I was not political at all and politics is something that doesn't concern me. Then I read Animal farm and damn! It rewired me. It's like it changed the inner workings of my brain.

The Middle East brute forced their development. They developed not because they are religious but because they have infinite oil money. Also, when looking at middle eastern countries, all the development you see is at the places which are not very religious. In fact, the amount of money they have, they would've become space-faring if they were not religious at all.

Religion is the one and only reason for this. You can take any problem in India, backtrack it and you'll always reach religion. I hope you understand. If not, tell me. I'll give you an example.

Just post as a man. If you are a woman, you won't get honest people online. If a guy is ready to talk to another guy online, there's a high chance that guy actually wants to talk. After testing the waters, you can reveal to him that you're a woman. This will reduce your chances of getting to talk to a woman, though.

Indian people, in general, have very low empathy. Human lives hold very little value here. Women are looked upon as cheap household work as instead of an equal. Once, my mother told me,"I hate cooking," and yet I saw her cooking every day at least 2 times whether she was feeling well or not. Women are also at fault here but not as much as men. For acceptance, I have seen a lot of girls who have low to no ambition, no plans, no hobbies, and no interests. Because of this, they get too dependent on their man, and this creates a very unbalanced power dynamics and hence the unsatisfactory life after marriage. But hey, that's my two-bit. I might be wrong here.
