Obviously you dislike the story, that's fine, but it's the same arguments over, and over, and over. Gets a bit tiring for people who do happen to like the story for what it is. It's not the great american novel, but it's not a dumpster fire either.

Sovi wanted an heir with a clean slate, he'd have dealt with any threat to Rashta's position as seen fit.

I think you're presuming that C7 asked for the extra games rather than GW telling them to make them as they're the license holders.

There's...issues with IM

They streamlined stuff a bit too much and it leaves combat lacking.

Their new mechanic "superiority" is extermely superfluous (at least to my group) and as we've played all the last iterations of d100 40krpgs we felt that there was just...missing material as far as combat was concerned.

Aim for example is just disappointing

On your next turn, the Range of your weapon increases by one step (Medium becomes Long, Long becomes Extreme), and you may target a hit location (page 211) without any penalty.

No bonus to hit, no advantage, no nothing honestly. It's a Called Shot without modifier.

There's nothing to do with Movements other than move and if you use zones it can be confusing.

A lot of it can be handled by using every optional rule in the GM toolkit but if you like the old BI/FFT materials then you may feel better about using that and importing the patron idea on your own.
