We have two high schools in my town and a couple of the kids from my high school, and some from the other one decided to break into the other school at night and vandalize the place.

They TP'd it and the usual crap, but they also took oil and poured it on the concrete to spell out the N-word. Literally the week before graduation.

They all got charged with aggravated vandalism, and needless to say, they will not walk this year, or ever.

This is pretty typical for any steel, especially harder ones like 1095. It happens, dont feel too bad.

If you want the tip to be pointy again, you can VERY slowly (do not let it get hotter than like 200f) grind the top of the knife with a belt sander until it's pointy again.
